"We left it late to book a hotel in Langkawi and we couldn't get in to any of usual hotels but managed to get a room at the Penarak Bamboo beach resort. When we went in the room it was spacious and very clean but when we opened the back door the view was spectacular. It's a very laid back place, the staff are friendly I ended up booking for another week. It's such a relaxing place, I would definitely go back"

"At first the property seemed to be in a strange location (behind a car park) but we came to appreciate the calm quiet area. "This is a basic motel with a clean room in a well-maintained community. You should hire a car or motorbike since waking from this location isn't convenient. Room entry doors really need weatherstripping and door sweeps to keep out the bugs, especially at night when guests are home and room lights are on, which attract bugs. "The landscape looks tired and need improvements, and also the interior of the bathroom already looks old and definitely needs renovation. FnB service was pretty bad, we ordered room service then after waited for more than 1.hr they called us and told us that they forgot to process our order and will process later and gave us as complimentary. We finally got our order after almost 2hrs !!! At the breakfast , i ordered some eggs then after we finished breakfast the eggs never came "

"I repeatedly reminded the front desk, both at check-in and at check-out, NOT to use the pre-approved card claim for the deposit. There were no payments to be made against the deposit. Yet the full deposit was charged to my card! And after three days, it was not credited back. A shame, fraud!"
