"Hotel is within walking distance of pier, food, bars, and gift shops. It will be under construction until 12:31/26. Nothing was closed or unavailable. Staff were friendly and helpful."

"Here's the issue with older, member owned properties - each room is subject to the financial wherewithal and the owners commitment to the room experience. Our bedding was old, quilty, grandma stuff. Thin. Pillows were either stiff or super thin. Nothing was updated for at least 5 years. That's too long. The general grounds were fine for a 40 yr old beach property. Staff was exceptional, everything was clean and fresh. The issue is the overall structure. You can hear everything above you while in your room. I mean I thought the people above us were running a track meet. If you are up and out, that's no big deal, but at 8am and you are there to relax, it can be an issue. Ask for a room on the 3 floor and dont be noisy yourself. :) The location is GREAT and the pool area is inviting. THe pricing was perfect. Just be prepared."

Hodnett Cooper's Beach Club

"We were surprised by the gorgeous view in condo 412 and the television services available which do not match the Hodnett Cooper website images for The Beach Club. There were 3 nice TVs in every room with Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Netflix, etc. The Hodnett Cooper website listed only a DVD player available so we took a bunch of old DVDs to watch but there was not DVD player. The only other issues: 1. There was a broken towel hanging hook in the master bath; the hook was lying on the vanity. 2. The trashcan lid was broken in the kitchen. 3. The ceiling fan in the living room did not work though the light built into the ceiling fan would come on. 4. The air conditioner is very loud probably because the units are mounted on the roof of the building we we we were on the top 4th floor. 5. The condos are quite far from the beach but the walk through the sand dunes is beautiful and we enjoyed the walk. It's a major chore for families taking a lot of beach gear so we simply carried a couple of towels and a beach bag."
