"The art deco style was great and everything went pretty smoothly. Altogether a generally positive experience. The lobby is one level up from the ground floor, which was confusing at first since there was no sign to indicate that. The front desk staff was very curt at check in, like he’d had a bad day, but was not directly rude. It put a bit of a damper on the excitement of traveling.
The room is quite small, though nicely furnished. It was fine for me traveling by myself, but my cousin and her husband found the room very small and had difficulty getting ready for a wedding in such tight quarters.
A tip for those who wants scones during their free tea & scone service in the afternoon: go early if you want a scone. They won’t replenish them once they are gone, and the staffer said they go quickly."
