Absolutely unacceptable experience with Hotel Grand Resort booked via Expedia (through Go Room Go). Despite having a confirmed reservation in their name, the hotel blatantly refused check-in saying they were sold out. Even worse, they refused to take any responsibility and simply pushed the blame onto the vendor. This is completely unprofessional—if a booking is under their property, it is their duty to honor it or arrange a proper solution. After driving all the way from Vizianagaram with my family, we were left stranded and forced into a substandard alternative at Golden Wave Premium Hotel, which made the situation even worse. This shows total mismanagement, zero accountability, and complete disregard for guests. I demand a full refund and compensation. Avoid this hotel at all costs—they do not honor bookings and do not take responsibility.

I recently visited Puri and stayed at Grand Resort. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The hotel charges around ₹7,000 per room, which is quite expensive considering the condition of the property. The bedsheets were dirty, stained, and even torn in some places. The room itself was poorly maintained, with peeling paint and a lack of cleanliness throughout. It felt more like a low-budget lodge than a resort charging premium rates. Another major drawback is the location. The hotel is far from most of Puri's main attractions, including the Jagannath Temple and the main beach. You need to spend extra on transportation every time you want to visit any tourist spot. The worst part of my experience involved the in-house spa and massage service. I booked a massage for my mother and paid the full amount in advance. However, they provided a different service from what was promised and charged for. When I raised the issue with the hotel reception, they assured me they would speak to the spa staff and arrange a refund. The manager and spa staff also initially promised a refund, but after that they stopped answering calls altogether. This behavior felt dishonest and highly unprofessional. I rarely write negative reviews, but I felt compelled to share my experience so that other travelers can make an informed decision. Based on my experience, there are many cheaper accommodations in Puri that offer better service, cleanliness, and value for money.

They cancelled our rooms on the morning of our arrival and gave away from our fully paid reservation to another patron. When we argued against it, they booked us in a different hotel, when we landed at 12:30 am, the newly booked hotel declined our booking and put us in a diff hotel, which was not even 1 star worth. It completely ruined our entire experience. We had booked three rooms in Grand resort Puri and had four adults over the age of 70 and in the middle of the night at 1 AM we were shuttled from one hotel to another. The next day, the manager Rahul of Grand resort refused to answer our call. Our reservation was a fully paid reservation and they had absolutely no right to cancel our reservation. I have never seen this level of scamming before in any place that I have traveled in 27 yrs
