"Overall, very good. The staff (front desk, bar & restaurant) was excellent; professional and friendly. Hotel is new, so it was fresh and clean. Good meals from Recess, and sitting in the outside bar with a beverage was very pleasant. Location is convenient to Powell’s Books and other shopping, restaurants. If I’m being picky, I found the solar shades extremely noisy, and for a new building the sound proofing in general especially the ceiling could have been better. Also, I would have liked an...

"The hotel is beautiful but old. The curtains in our room was ripped and the window in our friend’s room on the 12th floor was missing the safety lock so it opened all the way which would be scary if there were children with us. They wrongfully charged me for valet but it seems to be getting resolved pretty quickly. The halls are creepy but I guess that’s all part of the lore. "

"The food at the Tavern restaurant in the hotel is amazing and the wait staff is super nice, location in Portland was ideal, rooms a bit noisy with heating cooling system."

"This was my first time to Portland. Everything was excellent. The bartender (Gabe) was a great as well! He sold us on some of the amazing items off the menu for dinner. The food was spectacular by the way. Definitely took the time to share some cool stories and recommend some amazing local places. I would come back again for sure with staff like him. "Stayed here for three nights. Very clean and very beautiful hotel. I highly recommend trying their restaurant downstairs called Vance and Vine! Will most definitely stay here again the next time I’m in Portland."

"Liked that there wasn’t carpet in the room, felt more sanitary. Will say there was a teeth whitening strips case stuck to the counter which made me feel like maybe not thoroughly cleaned and then chair had a screw or something pop out that stabbed my boyfriend in the butt when he sat. Staff was lovely though and great location. Food at the restaurant was surprisingly good as well!"

"Great experience in a very “weird” Portland. I saw my first death of a squirrel by decapitation with a samurai sword by a homeless person right in front of the hotel. Very weird place. Not recommended for children."
