Came to Costa Rica for my anniversary trip. The Hotel Gaia was a pleasant experience. Overall the staff was wonderful! Never waited for answers. They were always right there with answers. I've been in the hospitality business for 31 years so I appreciate EXCELLENT service, and that it was. The room was very nice also. The complimentary breakfast made waking up early easy. It was just a short drive away from plenty of restaurants and shopping. The hotel offered free shuttle to the nearby beach and national park which we took full advantage of. Overall, I have to say the hotel experience was wonderful!

Lovely location with incredible reviews. Seeing the released red macaws on site was a treat. Tours booked via the hotel were excellent and we appreciated the recourse when one of our tours did not work out. Really loved the upper sunset deck. Restaurant was decent. Pool lovers may be disappointed with the pool.

This hotel is a jewel in Quepos. The location is wonderful with outstanding views. The facility is magnificent with well designed rooms and wonderful amenities. The staff is wonderful, friendly and always helpful. Their eco friendly approach is to be enjoyed and respected. Will definitely return to this magical place.

Overall it was underwhelming. The photos make it appear much nicer than it really is. Quite rundown in areas, and virtually no frills in the bar or restaurant area. Food quality was decent - sushi was the best thing we ate. Overall it seems like it was an updated resort back in the day but has not been kept up. The serving staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely.

This hotel is not a 5-star experience. The pool is at best uninviting, it’s very tired and not really usable. The room smelt of bleach on arrival although that did fade over the few days we were there. The staff were friendly and the spa was great, but the concierge service (via WhatsApp) didn’t really work as it wasn’t responsive enough. The room design leaves a lot to be desired. It’s ok, but not 5-star.

We stayed in room 121 which is a perfect location for the pool and for the restaurant and spa. Room was very comfortable and spacious. The shower was super! complimentary shower gel, shampoo and conditioner daily. I had a massage and a facial on two different days. Very good. The Restaurant was also excellent with many offerings. I had sushi twice and it was fresh and delicious! Upstairs is a lounge/bar where people gather before dinner to watch the sunset. Each room gets a consierge that helps you with anything and everything. They will make your reservation at the spa and any excursions and also help with reservations to outside restaurants and transportation. I did the coffee, chocolate and spices tour which was very educational about local farming and we were also treated to some wonderful chocolate and coffee and a lunch! My husband and I did an ATV tour which was just that. We rode on ATV's for 2 hours and saw a small waterfall. We were hoping to see some wildlife but did not. It is basically riding an ATV. I would highly recommend this hotel for its service, food and spa. The view is also awesome especially at sunset. It is about a 10 min. shuttle ride from the hotel to the public beach which is very nice.

Fantastic hotel wit high clean rooms, lovely restaurant and the friendliest staff. The restaurant staff and the security and logistics guys were absolutely amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. The macaw tour is a must do and if you want to visit the national park please book through the hotel and request Clarence- he was superb. His knowledge and enthusiasm was second to none.

Just came back from a 1 week stay at Gaia Hotel. It was beautiful. The rooms are very clean, the staff are very friendly, kind and professional and so helpful. They go out of their way to make things perfect for you. We would definitely stay there again. Pura Vida!

Staff was the star, attentive but unobtrusive. They put up with our attempts at Spanish. There was very good communication with our concierge through What’s app and booking external tours through Gaia website was easy and worked wonderfully.

We had a great stay celebrating my husbands milestone birthday! Staff is great, good location, nice spacious room and we enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was great and perfect view to start the day! We would definitely stay here again.

Everysingle staff member was kind, helpful and positive. They were genuinely thoughtful and went out of their way to help with anything needed. The room was incredibly clean, the view was stunning, the pool was fresh and not overcrowded. All of the meals were delicious, (mahi mahi ceviche was out of this world) we enjoyed every breakfast (large portion), it came with various fresh fruit, homemade bread and coffee, latte or cappucino. Jack and Abraham our servers were so kind! We enjoyed the golfcart rides to the main road, the drivers made us feel like friends, Jose, Walter,Oscar,Anthony, (all of them)imprinted positive memories on our hearts! The owner was cheerful and kind, greeting us regulary, making us feel right at home. The views from everywhere were spectacular! We especially enjoyed watching the sunsets, whether it be from the infinity pool, dinner, our balcony, or most memorably, from the rooftop, listening to music, having appetizers and delicious drinks! We took a fabulous tour of the rainforest with Clarence, his knowledge on the animals, wildlife and plantlife was impressive, he showed us macaws, a sloth and different species throughout the hike that is included in the stay! Our concierge Edson was amazing! He set up excursions, shuttles, taxis, special meal requests, answered questions and always stayed kind, thoughtful and helpful. Overall it was a trip of a lifetime that we will cherish for a lifetime!

Everything!! This place is a 10 out of 10. Our concierge was the best. The staff was wonderful and the onsite restaurant did not disappoint. The sunset and views were amazing.

It’s a nice property with a good rooftop bar and restaurant. The staff is super nice and friendly. My only gripe is that they try very hard to be upscale that at times becomes too much. For example, the check in process of choosing shampoos and getting the tour is a bit much. They also assign you a concierge that you can message for anything at anytime (or the concierge will message you to see if you need anything), which is nice but also seems like overkill. In general the hotel was great though. Would recommend it.
