"The economy cabin is a bit behind the other cabins, so no direct view of the ocean but still very close. The beach is beautiful. The staff are very nice. There is a convenience store and restaurant right there too. The cabin needs renovation, with mold around much of the shower. The toilet is very outdated. The bed was decently comfortable but I found there was dirt by the feet area under the blankets, making me wonder how well it had been cleaned. They provide firewood to each cabin, we paid $10 for a fire permit and made a fire at the beach to watch the sunset.
Overall, a beautiful, calm, and quiet area that felt safe with kind and helpful staff. The cabin needs some TLC and more cleaning. "
"The lodge was secluded and they've thought of everything as far as games & such to play instead of a TV! I was so happy to see no TV anywhere! The room was nice & bed comfy. Close to La Push & Forks. Easy to find & easy directions on check in. My only complaint was a guest not being cognizant or respectful of close quarters & thin walls....no fault of the lodge at all. Otherwise highly recommend this spot!! "
"I like the location. And from a distance, the hotel looked pretty nice too. But upon closer inspection there was a lot to be desired.
I was on the bottom floor and the noise from the upper floor was really bad. Not that the people up there were being unreasonable, it was just not insulated very well between the floors so every time someone walked anywhere I could hear them.
The entry door had a big gap underneath it that light from the hallway came through the entire night. There was also a very bright AC unit mounted on the wall. I threw a T-shirt over that, and that helped. There was a charging port right on the bed frame, which is nice in theory, but there was a bright blue light on it that never went out.
The floor was uneven and you could feel low points whenever you walked around. There was a random hole in the wall about the size of a quarter. Kind of weird, no?
Ultimately, these things weren’t THAT big of a deal. The bed was reasonable, the lady at the desk was nice, and other than the people above me, it was fairly quiet.
But I’m a person who likes details, and this hotel felt cheaply built and already wearing down, even though the style was fairly modern.
I would not stay there again, but if you’re in a pinch, and you’re not super picky, it’s fine."
