"I had a really great stay at Villa Maïa in Lyon. The hotel sits up on Fourvière Hill, so the views over the city are absolutely beautiful, especially in the morning and at sunset. The room was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed without feeling over the top. What stood out most was the staff—they were friendly, helpful, and made everything feel easy without being pushy.
The spa area was a nice bonus, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring, and the breakfast was fresh and simple...

"Hotel itself is beautiful. Pool and amenities as advertised. Staff are well trained, professional, and very friendly.
The room fit and fondue do not reflect the price - layouts are quite strange, ie. no sink on the same floor as the toilet and shower. And Bring your own mattress because the beds are exceptionally uncomfortable.

"Room was the smallest we’ve ever experienced. Almost impossible to get to opposite side of bed without hitting your head on the tv mounted on the wall. Bathroom had a horrible room layout - your knees hit the wall in front of you as you sat on the toilet. Worse than a toilet on a plane. A/C did not work, room was very hot. Don’t waste your money on this place."

"Very nice hotel and staff was excellent. We booked a Jr Suite with river view, which was plenty large for France, however the road below is extremely busy and very loud. There is also very limited privacy in the bathroom. Shower is wide open and the toilet area has smoked glass providing limited privacy. "

"The room was great, the staff was really helpful and friendly. The breakfast really good, they have plenty of options. There is only 1 person working at the spa so me and my wife had to schedule separate massages. Maybe it’s because of the day, me and my wife stayed on a Tuesday. "The location is excellent and the hotel itself is beautiful. The staff are friendly and the amenities, including the free snacks, are great. The view from the river facing room was beautiful and the corner unit had so many windows. The only negative is the bed: is is really hard which on its own is not the issue but combined with the very rough bed linens, it was a bit much. I understand that they are trying to be eco-friendly but surely there are more comfortable/smooth eco-friendly materials....
