"Die Präsidenten Suite war sehr geräumig und sauber. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir waren leider nur einen Tag hier und haben ein Upgrade bekommen auf diese wunderschöne Suite. Die Gegend hat uns auch sehr gut gefallen. Viele Restaurants gibt es in der Nähe. "This was my 2nd stay at Al-Madinah. Again it is off the beaten path in a construction contractor area. Then again Muscat does not have an entertainment area of bars, discos, restaurants like other countries. Thus with the exception of the mall hotels few to nothing is walkable. This hotel give a great price for those of you who already have malls at home, so the mall hotels are really not special to you. "Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out.
