Big Sur is a must when in California. And you absolutely have to catch the sunset there, it's a surreal experience. If you're adventurous, the ultimate coastal drive is southward -- from SF to LA. That way, you'd be driving on the edge.

Nice room and quiet. Not as many businesses open downstairs, but Finca was excellent on the corner and staff at Gravesend were also great to sit and chat with while having a drink. Super easy check-in with info texted to you. No keys or fuss. Room was clean and bed and chairs were comfortable.
