"Good: King room was spacious and clean. Pool was nice for entertaining. Service in the restaurants was generally very friendly and knowledgeable. Drinks and food were cheaper than most of the rest of CA. Bad: Gym was out of commission for remodeling but that wasn’t listed online. Front desk and valet staffing was poor. Ugly: Impossible to avoid oppressive levels of cigarette smoke in the lobby and restaurants 24/7. Smoking even allowed at the pool."

"Always love staying here especially on work trips because it’s a great spot to come back to. Only downfall is no self parking and parking in the surrounding neighborhood is not great for trucks. Other than that, I’ll still be back for future stays."

"Great place for the price point. Clean, easy to get to and close to the beach as long as you drive. The blankets are thin so I would bring my own, and the mattress is a little wonky, but incredibly clean and well maintained. The pool is super nice and I would visit again."

"My stay was fantastic! It was my 1st time ever is San Diego. We did a girls trip. The location was centrally located in regards to all the activities we had planned. There was shopping and eateries within walking distance. The staff were amazing, super friendly and helpful. I am writing this review rather late. My trip was in May, so I don't remember names of the awesome staff. I mean from the gentleman that got me in my room early, to the young lady that offered to keep my bags until my room was ready, to housekeeping, and of course to the bar tender. The room was clean and pool view was so cool. I would definitely stay at the San Diego Marriott Misson Valley again and again. Thank you for making my trip memorable!!!"
