"Clean room. Nice breakfast. Pretty location. Staff was nice. Fire alarm went off in the middle of the night a couple of times and staff was no where to be seen for what felt like a long time. It was faulty not a fire. It was a bit frustrating at 3am. Nothing was mentioned the next morning. I would think a discount would have been given or an apology but nothing. "

"Nice hotel which is reasonably close to the airport. Shuttle service (one way) from the hotel to the airport is a bonus. Too bad there's no shuttle from the airport to the hotel. Not sure why. Dinner at the restaurant was good, and is the only dining option available. We didn't see any restaurants within walking distance. Our only complaint is that our room was very warm even with the window opened and the thermostat turned OFF. We couldn't understand why, since this is a first floor room....

"We adored our time at hotel Grimsborgir! I’m a travel advisor from the US & will highly recommend this hotel to my clients. It’s beautiful. We had building 8 all to ourselves, which also meant the hot tub was very private for us. The building was in a great location away from a lot of lights. "We arrived very late, they left instructions on the reception window and a message here. Very nice to walk into a warm cabin and the hot tub. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Fast wifi, clean bathroom etc. Check out as easy as the check in. Will be back in the summer for sure and stay here"
