Always a pleasure staring at Red Lion, staff is so welcoming and friendly every time. I feel safe when I’m traveling alone and room is always clean. Only recurring problem I have is I consistently have problems with the keys working. Regardless, love this hotel and in my opinion it’s the last place you can stay in Redding with a real resort feel with the pool and courtyard.

Shower flow was extremely aggressive and wasn’t adjustable, seemed to be stuck on the fire house hose setting, and I wasn’t offered an upgrade but the staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean as always. I only mention the option to upgrade because Expedia said I was supposed to have been offered that? I asked and paid for my own upgrade but the staff was extremely nice and friendly and I will stay here over and over again. No biggie on my end, always a pleasure staying with you guys. Thank you Red Lion!

Very run down. Our bathroom sink did not drain, the toilet made a constant sound, the paint was chipping off everywhere. The entire floor smelled of marijuana and we were there with a team filled of kids. The hot tub was shut down for part of it. If you’re a business person needing a one night stay it’s ok. They also have smoking rooms so the hall ways smelled. Do not recommend for a family.

The property is old and run down. Floors were not cleaned and our feet were dirty from walking in the room barefooted. Water stained windows. The place is getting old with minimal upgrades to it. It was a a lot nicer 5 years ago. We have been staying here annually for last 15 years and have seen a big change.

Noisy couldn’t sleep . Killed like 5 spiders in my bathroom. Nothing worked properly in gym. Restaurant on property was not good . Paper menu food served on paper plates.

No air conditioning for a whole row of rooms. Canceled next two days and went else where. Money was returned for the two nights i canceled, had to wait for till monday to talk to manager to get comped for the first night, it was a process. Never again in redding

The hot tub jets shoot straight up. There is nothing shooting into the hot tub itself. Its extremely loud due to this. Also the area around the hot tub does not drain, so there is always several inches of standing water you have to walk in.

They advertise that they had a restaurant but failed to advertise it closed Monday and Tuesday. The bedroom was not very clean and the restroom the same. I have stayed in many Red Lions before so this was very disappointing.

The Tesla destination chargers are gone. new chargers won't work and you will have stupid ICE cars parking on the spot. Hotel need to be renovated. My bathroom door can't be shut.

It was nice that every room had an accessible balcony, complete with a couple of chairs and a small table. But, despite the efforts to renovate the hotel, it is very worn. As with most places, some of the new staff were not very good.

Many years ago this used to be a premium property. Now it is aging and in need of a remodel. Be aware if you are planning a Friday or Saturday night stay that they now book a band into the restaurant. We attempted to have dinner there on a Friday night and first needed to pay a $5 per person cover charge (for a hotel guest to eat dinner?). But we did and were pointed to a group of booths in the back of the restaurant. All were dirty, so picked the cleanest one, sat down, and waited. No service so went to the bar to ask. The bartender indicated that she would send someone over. Returned to the table but no server ever showed, so just left. It is apparent that this has become Redding's party spot and the music was loud and most patrons extremely drunk. Some were staying in the hotel as we had a noisy bunch of drunks in the room across the hall. The buffet breakfast the next morning was bleak - a broken waffle maker, powdered eggs and surly staff. The room was dated and in poor repair. Blow dryer and coffee maker were both broken. Do yourself a favor and pass on this place, especially on the weekends.

The hot tub jets shoot straight up so they had to be turned off. The outside dining area had sand from the cigarette tubs all over all of the tables so we had to clean one before we could eat there, and there were no pool towels so we had to use the ones from the room leaving us with wet towels. They automatically charged us $8 each for breakfast but they dont have many choices to eat.

We booked the Red Lion because it said they had a bar and restaurant. And after a long day of travel, we wanted to watch the Super Bowl. Turns out someone had called in so neither was open. Room was not clean, especially the floors. Very disappointing. The only good thing about it was the breakfast. The area was VERY clean, food was good and the service was excellent.

The room was very clean and comfortable inside, but the hallways had a strange smell. It's located between a busy and freeway, so not especially quiet or pleasant for a walk, but it felt s afe enough, at least in the daytime. Staff were pleasant and the breakfast was good, especially the Peet's Coffee!
