"The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfy and the bathroom was good. Only issue was the door in the corridor slammed everytime someone went through it. Probably just needs the door closer adjusting."

"I was disappointed by the quality of the room in that a number of pieces of furniture were excessively worn down (the desk chair, the bedhead as examples). This created a poor impression. Other aspects were of a normal standard. I also thought that certain parts of the outside property were poorly maintained; for example I found two abandoned tool kits close to my car that appear to have been there quite some time. The shrubs were overgrown and retricting the parking area for the cars."

"Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding...

"Paul was a great host. The lodge was comfortable and perfect for us attending a wedding nearby. The room has a fridge and a microwave, as well as tea and coffee. The bed was really comfortable and we had a good night's sleep."

EV charging works well, though expensive (75p per kw at time of writing). Bed was comfy and clean. "Overall, the hotel is really nice and quite charming. The only thing that I would see was the parking . We had to use the overflow parking which was in a very dark area away from the hotel so it was dark. I did not feel comfortable walking back up to the hotel late at night. also we did upgrade our room to include a bath, but there was no water for the bath, so I was really disappointed in this because it was a lovely feature in the room.
