"The building and the staff were great! Such a cute property and a really nice room. Only downside was that it was pretty loud due to traffic noise outside (and an early morning party in the parking lot next door). But the staff and amenities were really top notch, and breakfast was very tasty both days!"

"I was not impressed by the restaurant staff and would not recommend going there. Hit outside spots instead. Hotel was nice and continently located right next to the water taxi that takes you right downtown Norfolk."

The entire place had a nasty odor that made it hard to even stay inside comfortably, and the rugs and furniture smelled horrible as well. The cleanliness throughout the property was unacceptable. "The staff was great. The hotel is used mainly as long term housing for low income people. You get what you pay for here. Everyone was nice and there wasn’t any trouble. It was quite at night which was good. If you need a place for one night without any options you can stay. But more than that I would not book"

I was unable to sleep due to several other hotel patrons outside my room talking loudly and carrying on between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM. I was told by staff it was my responsibility to call police to control the situation. I will not stay at another Econo Lodge based on my experience."
