We stayed for one night and it did what we wanted it too, the room was lovely modern deco, night for one or two nights in Iceland. Location is ok there’s some places to go a short walk away

We were locked out and our keys had been swapped during our stay. Wasn’t ideal to be sitting outside the lobby for someone to sort it out at 1am. Disappointing not to be able to check out a day earlier when our plans had change. This had been requested 2 weeks in advance.

Contente de notre séjour, l’hôtel était propre, la chambre bien équipée. Cependant il nous a manqué le contact avec l’hôte. Nous l’avons contacté plusieurs fois pour un changement de serviette mais nous n’avons jamais eu de retour ou été recontacter. Sinon je recommande car tout ce fait facilement et c’est proche du centre ville a pied

Stayed here in October for 2 nights! Great location, easy access and check in, feels cozy. Nice bathroom! Close to bus stops and shopping district. Would stay here again if we go back!

Nice modern and clean big room with kitchen. For ~130 EUR a night it was fair. Check in was not too smooth as it took an hour to get the key card for the room.

Great communications prior to check-in. The property is very nicely designed and everything works perfectly. There are a couple of cafés around, which makes it super convenient to have an early start. The city center is walking distance away and the city has lots to offer. We really enjoyed our stay and loved Rejkiavik.

The location was a little more than a short walk to the city center. The room was updated and had a wonderful kitchenette with a dishwasher! The bathroom was spacious. The parking issue was confusing and troubling. There is a closed business (assumed to be a former restuarant) on the first floor. There are parking around the exterior of building that was used by all the neighborhood. I assume in the past, it was reserved parking for the business. This left a small parking area around the back side of the business for parking. While they indicate private parking, it is not assured there are sufficient parking spots available. The second issue to be aware of is the passcode to enter the building that is sent to you before arrival is not correct. You must call a number and await a person to come and let you in and provide a room key. This is troubling especially if arriving after hours. It worked, but one needs to be aware of this previously reported issue and plan accordingly. Other than the parking and entry concerns, it is a great value and wonderful place to stay in Iceland, provided you have transportation. I would highly recommend it with these caveats.

Full of necessities

I liked the property very match. I rarely find properties which has everything I need. The kitchenette was so useful. Amenities wise it was awesome. Loved it. The only part which could have been better is the checkin insyructions by Hotels.com. Hotels.com didn't forward me the proper check-in information so I had to call the property late at night and incurred some roaming costs.

Got to Iceland. Never got checkin onformation. Got message at 9:00am saying bthey were overbooked and cancelled my stay. There was only a virtual desk and no person to help. Terrible to dump a traveler like that

Leider wurden wir erst gegen mittag am CheckIn-Tag, nachdem wir morgends unser Gepäck wie avisiert am A105 abgestellt hatten, darüber informiert, dass wir dort kein Zimmer bekommen. Schließlich wurden wir zum R13 - zum gelichen Preis in der gleichen Zimmerkategorie gefahren. Es wurde uns ein freuies Frühstück zusätzlich angeboten. Allerdings liegt das R13 weiter außerhalb der City udn wir mussten auch alle unsere Touren anpassen. Was wir vorher zu Fuß hätten bewältigen können, mussten wir nun per Taxi erreichen. Trotz Zahlung einer Taxifahrt durch das Hotel, kostete uns diese Umverlegung letztlich weitere rd. 30 € an Fahrtkosten. Außerdem gingen uns durch Wartezeit, Zeit für Änderung der Touren usw. 3 h verloren, die wir lieber bei Erkundungen in der Stadt eingesetzt hätten. Zum Hotel R13: negativ: Wasserhahn im ad lose, Fenster nicht richtig schließbar-dadurch sehr laut / positiv: gute Betten, gut ausgestattete Küche, freundlicher Hotelbesitzer

I'll start with the most important thing: this hotel is a complete self-check in hotel, there is no reception - so consider this in case you are uncomfortable with it. We had no prob with that and can also recommend the place. We received an email and also a call by the property manager to inform us that we were booked into another location due to maintenance issues. The entry to the hotel was a little hard to find but all the self check in information was easy to go through. We had some issues while checking in but the property manager was available within a few seconds and super helpful. Parking is available in front of the hotel or on the streets closeby.

This caused me 10 minutes of panic that was totally available. This is a self check-in hotel with no front desk, and they are supposed to email or text an access code for the door 24 hours before check in. 23 hours before, I do get a code. Once I'm there, the provided code does not work. No problem, right? Just call the provided number. Well, that just got me a recorded message in Icelandic, and then it disconnected. I try the code multiple times and messaging through the Expedia app, and I am frantic, because it's been a long day of travel and it's cold and rainy. I start checking my phone for any other way I can contact the hotel or Expedia, and then I see a new Expedia message from just one hour before check in, with totally different code and instructions. Finally, we can get in the door. Even in the entryway where we can get our keycard, there are printed instructions on the wall that are also different from the real procedure. Why would they send an incorrect code and then a correct code so shortly before check in -- and what if my phone was dead by that time? I have never had such an unpleasant experience trying to just check in to my lodging.
