Essential by Dorint Interlaken

Essential by Dorint Interlaken

10/10 Excellent
"An excellent hotel, right in the middle of Interlaken - a stone’s throw from Interlaken West station (the hotel literally backs onto the station platform). It has beautiful, modern, comfortable rooms with all needs catered for including lovely balconies overlooking the mountains. Our stay included breakfast with an extensive choice, and we regularly visited its lovely bar for evening drinks. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly at every interaction with them. Interlaken will be a lasting memory of our holiday travelling around Europe - it’s a beautiful town and area, and our stay at the Essential by Dorint was a key part of our stay there."

Hotel Metropole Interlaken

"I got the room for both the view of the mountains and they had wonderful roof top hotel to dine! Their location is at the very busy street but across the street the vies from the top is beautiful because it is a lawn area. Nights were uncomfortable because their AC was not working. I had to keep the doors open for the breeze."

"The room was basic but had what you need. Very hot but it did have a fan and a large window that could be opened. Excellent breakfast!"

"Great choice for us. Perfect location at main street with restaurants and stores and only 10 min by foot to Interlaken Ost train station. Welcoming and friendly staff at reception and at breakfast. Breakfast buffet was great with lots of choices. We had a room with air condition which was important for us. The room was clean with a spacious bathroom, had a mini fridge, coffee machine and safe. We would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would come back by ourselves."

Hotel Toscana

Hotel Toscana

"This hotel was within walking distance from the train station called Interlaken West. It is in an area with multiple restaurants, tourist shops, and a small grocery store (called coop) where we got drinks and snacks several times, including items for our breakfast. The hotel overall was clean, and our room was very clean. It was not luxurious, but it was fine. We were there at the end of July, and the weather was hot and humid. Our room did not have air conditioning. The room had 2 portable fans in it. There was a large window and a door to a small balcony, so we could open the window and door to let some air come in. However, on the ground level there were restaurants with outdoor seating, and when we wanted to go to sleep at 10:00 or 11:00 in the evening, the noise from people at the outdoor restaurant seating was very annoying if we (on third floor) had the window or door open. So, the choices were to put up with the noise of people talking and clanking dishes (it was surprisingly loud) or close up the window and balcony door and have a hot room. In cooler weather, this would not be a problem."
