The kitchenette is basic, but we managed just fine. The included breakfasts were a highlight - plentiful, fresh, homemade and delicious! We heard howler monkeys and saw toucans from the balcony! "We enjoyed Sangregado Lodge. Upon arrival, we were greeted and offered fresh coconut water, which was a nice touch. The highlight of this lodge is the spectacular view of the Arenal valley. The lodge had very few to no amenities but its location high up in the mountain made it feel more remote and less touristy than the resorts on the main La Fortuna road. "We really enjoyed our stay here. The garden was incredible and the lovely family did a little night tour to show us frogs, sleeping birds and other small creatures and plants. In the day we saw many birds. The little side kitchen was nice, and the hostess cooked very good breakfasts of local food, much of which they grew.
