Great stay

We had 4 nights staying in the Carioca room which was amazing. We views were great across the City. The staff were so helpful & friendly and the breakfast was a work of art.

Everything was perfect. Beautiful room. Claudio, Sophia and all the staff were extremely helpful, organising our trips and booking taxis and transfers for us. The breakfast was amazing, different every day. The hotel is an oasis in a busy city. Would definately recommend staying here

Unique B&B in charming part of Rio, away from the tourist areas. Lovely hosts and staff. Breakfasts were amazing - changed every day, but always delicious using the freshest produce.

Hidden gem in Santa Teresa.

Amazing place. Our friends stayed at two other nearby accommodations. Our was hands down the best. Just like other reviews, the staff, gardens, pool and breakfast are incredible.

Oasis in Santa Tereza

Great location close to Centro and Santa Tereza neighbourhoods. They will help you with taxis around town but definitely spend a night or two in the neighbourhood for a different vibe. Really clean and peaceful. Amazing breakfast.

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Only down fall was a lot of stairs/ramps. But once you are up in the property it is beautiful. The hosts are very gracious and someone is always there to assist you.

This property is very unique. It has only five rooms, each of which is quite distinct. One of the rooms even has its own swimming pool. The breakfasts are wonderful and different each day. The staff is very friendly and the setting is gorgeous.

This was one of the most exquisite properties I’ve ever stayed on and loved the entire experience. The owners and staff are all incredibly attentive and helpful, and the view from breakfast and the infinity pool alone are enough to make me come back. With only 4 rooms available on the whole property, it was an exclusive experience that often felt like a completely private booking. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to be back.

A beautifully decorated and well designed property. The owners paid attention to every detail. Breakfast was a work of art and presented in visually artistic and beautiful tablescales overlooking the city of Rio. The landscaping was so lush with waterfalls, infinity pools, sculptures and little monkeys in the oasis of trees and native and tropical plants. I loved the owners and ambience. Made my intro to Rio de Janeiro a magical experience.

Casa Geranio is a unique and lovely property, nestled on a hillside in central Rio. The space is a lush oasis of greenery and traditional architecture that makes for a luxurious resting spot after a day of touring the busy city. Our room was ample, comfortable, and quiet. Breakfast was exquisite and the service was warm, friendly, and very helpful. Thank you all for everything! I would definitely recommend this hotel for anybody looking to stay in downtown Rio and would surely consider it again if I get the chance to return. I think it's worth mentioning that the walk up hill and the hotel stairs may not be ideal for people with limited mobility.

Pleasant stay, but attitude could be better.

We had a pleasant stay at Casa Geranio. The property is quite beautiful and newly renovated. However, the price is probably a bit too steep for the prestations. The breakfast, although of good quantity, is served at the table, so you do not get to choose what you want. We also did not enjoy being constantly told how amazing the place is (by the owners) and having to sign a declaration that we would pay for the towels in case we stained them with sunscreen (!). All in all we did not feel like so much as valued guests for which the owners would have gone out of their way for.

Dit is echt een van de beste hotels cq B&B‘s waar ik ooit in 40 jaar ben gebleven. Ik heb nog nooit zoveel aandacht verzorging en Pampering ervaren. Het ontbijt is überhaupt het beste dat ik ooit heb gehad maar de mensen zijn zo verschrikkelijk lief. Zowel het personeel alsook de beide eigenaren. Er is ontzettend veel aandacht voor het welbevinden van de gasten. Het is zo ontzettend sfeervol ingericht met veel smaak kwaliteit en schoonheid. Voor het ontbijt wordt elke dag een ander prachtig servies gebruikt. Krijg je steeds een nieuwe variatie van eieren, sapjes en fruit en uiteraard de zelfgemaakte cakes. Het kan allemaal niet op, echt een dikke 11.

This was by far, the best accommodation we have had in Rio. The room was absolutely incredible. It was beyond clean, the service amazing, and the owners were so helpful and friendly. The views are spectacular and the breakfast was out of this world. When they heard I was vegan, they’ve even baked a vegan cake for me. I can only recommend this to anyone traveling to Rio.

El lugar es el mejor hotel Boutique en Rio de Janeiro, chiquito, exclusivo, con personalidad e identidad. Excelente servicio, cama comoda, piscina a buena temperatura, vegetacion inigualable y vistas extraordinarias. Un desayuno variado y delicioso. Los anfitriones super atentos.

Wonderful stay!

The room and property were amazing! The breakfast was incredible! They really catered to us to make our overall experience wonderful even when we stayed longer at the hotel waiting for our evening flight. The WiFi didn’t work great. Some Ubers didn’t want to drive us to the hotel or pick us up because of the unsafe neighborhood but once we were at the property, we really enjoyed our stay! Highly recommend!
