We had a great stay at Plaza Spania! The staff were friendly, the breakfast was great, and the location is very safe and central. Will definitely come back the next time I visit Rio :)

Convenient location and excellent value!

An excellent choice that you might wish to consider! The staff was very welcoming and friendly and overall this is a great hotel choice based on its location and value. The hotel is conveniently located only one block from Praia Shopping Botafogo and also convenient to the metro line (2 blocks away). The entire staff worked hard to ensure our comfort - from the wonderful breakfast buffet to attending to all of our needs to providing wonderful service. Muito abrigado, Plaza Spania!

Staff & service was very cordial and helpfull, however the room had seemed like it had unfinished construction work, like cement on the bathroom floor, some infiltration on the bathroom and some spots of painting on random places, besides that it was an okay room.

Room was clean and in a very good location to access the city between copacabana beach and the historical centre. However a slight damp smell in the room but overall the stay was very worth the money and the breakfast was good.

The location was excellent, not much English was spoken but understandable due to staying away from copacabana. Everything was explained perfectly and there was 24/7 staff ready to help. Rooms got cleaned everyday if you dropped off your key (get explained) and my favourite was the breakfast as it was fresh and filling. Rooms were cool and it was perfect for my use of using the hotel just to sleep as we were outside majority of the time.

Awesome place

Had a great stay, very nice hotel ans good staff. They are really friendly, have a nice solo artist on the weekend’s. Location is really amazing, it definitely felt safer than Copacabana. The breakfast is awesome ans their cakes. The room I had was small but it is expected for the price. I would stay longer, my only complaint is there is no natural sunlight. The rooms are inside so there are no windows for outside. If it had that, would definitely staid longer. I definitely recommend the place and I definitely would return.

gostei muito do hotel, por ser pequeno ele e bem organizado, cafe da manha e muito bom, digamos que excelente, escadas e elevador limpos, banheiros limpos, lugar limpo, um lugar de família, uma questão apenas do barulho no primeiro quarto, por ser o triplo ele fica na frente, e como a rua e bastante movimentada! e muito barulho!

Estancia cómoda, muy buena ubicación en Botafogo cerca de la playa, el metro y compras. El personal muy amable. Las habitaciones no son muy grandes pero para dormir está perfecto. Muy buen desayuno. En términos generales recibes buen valor por el precio que es muy competitivo.

Hotel com quartos muito ruins. As janelas praticamente são inexistentes e a unica da um corredor interno. O quarto da sensação claustrofóbica, além de acomodação n° 4 estar em péssimas condições. Mobiliário velho, descascando, mofo em várias paredes, e laminado sujo, encardido. Café da manhã bom. Um dos piores hoteis que já fiquei.

A limpeza do quarto deixa a desejar, especificamente quanto ao chão estava sempre sujo, não parece que tinha sido limpo. Sem contar que também que tinha uma baratinha na pia do banheiro. De resto o hotel é muito bem localizado e o café da manhã é ok também.
