"Szép tiszta szoba és fürdőszoba, nagyon kedves tulajdonosok. Keveset beszéltek angolul, de ez nem okozott problémát, bár az árban nem volt benne, de kaptunk egy reggelit is ajándékba. Ami még fontos, hogy nagyon csöndes helyen van, abszolút jól tudtunk aludni. 😎"

"The staff at this hotel are nothing short of incredible. They go out of their way to make sure their guests are comfortable and taken care of. We did all the tours with their partner Tuanis Tours and found the guides knowledgeable and fun. All the tours went on a little longer because the guides were determined to make sure we saw all animals possible. They even made the tours enjoyable the few times we got caught in the rain. The hotel was also super accommodating and helpful when a storm changed our return travel plans. Also the location is prime, the hangout space by the beach so tranquil. And it’s really great value for the price. Highly recommend booking and using them to organize all your time in Tortuguero"
"The hotel is close to the Tortuguero NP which means you will probably need to get a boat to get there. Once there it is a beautiful resort with a series of cabins connected by paths. The place is teeming with life. As soon as we arrived a group of spider monkeys started playing on the path to our cabin, right in front of us. You can book many activities at the front desk. We did the canal by boat, went to see the green turtles lay eggs at the beach and a night walk to spot some animals. They also have a large pool and restaurant and bars. The one reason why I am not giving it a top score is because the cabins were pretty basic. They were clean, but matresses could have been more comfortable. The bathroom had a shower with all the basic toiletries. There was no TV, fridge or air conditioning. Luckily for us, it was not extremely hot during our stay or otherwise it would have been impossible to sleep. On the plus side it had a small terrace where you could sit and enjoy the jungle around you. Breakfast was served everyday in the main restaurant. It was good and there was plenty to choose from, with cold and hot options. We had dinner in the restaurant as well. It was buffet style with a limited number of options to choose from, but enough for the two nights we spent there. Nevertheless, I think it is one of the best options to stay near Tortuguero and enjoy all the nature around you."
"The grounds here were very pretty- several trails where you could bird watch, and the view from the infinity pool was very nice. The staff were helpful and friendly. The only things we found to lower my rating slightly were that the rooms (depending on where you're assigned) can be a little way down a path and there didn't seem to be a golf cart/similar vehicle to help you with your bags. I had a group of teenagers, so hauling their own luggage wasn't a problem except that it was raining the night we stayed so everyone got wet moving luggage to our rooms. Also, you drive to the end of the road to register (and this is where you unload your luggage to take to your rooms), but then you've got to park your car in a lot closer to the main entrance, so there is extra walking involved if you had mobility issues. I know the beauty of the place is that it's surrounded by nature, but in one of our rooms we found 3 centipede/millipede type creatures (2 on the floor and 1 on the wall), and one other insect that weren't there when we first got into the room, but later likely came in via the crack under the exterior door. This freaked my daughters out as we found them right before bedtime, so if you were insect averse you might consider a location in a less outdoorsy place."
"Our bungalow was excellent and the air conditioning came in very handy. Property is beautifully presented and within easy walking distance of Tortuguero village. Guides are excellent so Id recommend tours through the hotel - the pricing is reasonable and it's much more convenient."
"We spent a wonderful five nights here in a family room and it was a truly immersive rainforest experience we will never forget. You are deep in the forest and an abundance of wildlife is all around-including some in your room or on your terrace so you need to be comfortable with that. We saw many toucans, hummingbirds, howler monkeys, an anteater, possums, and many jungle insects right from our room and immediately outside it, The howler monkeys wake you at 5am every day with deafening calls which is really special- just don’t expect a lie- in! Facilities are basic and a bit run down and be prepared to be wet and muddy all the time, particularly if you do the resort’s trails into the jungle,- quite overgrown and not well marked unlike some of the larger rainforest attractions, so lots of care needed and not for the faint hearted. The staff is amazing and really made our stay magical, They were all so knowledgeable and helpful and really went out of their way to chat and make sure we had everything we needed, particularly Sergio and Suri. Breakfast and dinner were lovely buffets with a huge amount of choice of both local and international foods. I would only note two things for improvement about our stay- firstly would be to change the bed linen after 2-3 days for guests staying longer like us as the constant humidity and dirt makes it needed. Secondly to tell guests at check in how to radio security at night if required as no staff are on site at night."
"We stayed in the hotel as a party of six people with two teenagers sharing a room with two adults and two adults in a room on their own.
The location was very good to be in the middle of the small resort. It is located about five minute walk from the jetty where the boat will leave you. The journey with our luggage was fine however it was not raining and on the return to the Boat at the end of our stay we paid a local staff member to take our luggage as it would’ve been difficult with elderly relatives. In hindsight, we should have left the majority of our luggage in our car parked and taken a small backpack with the clothes and items we needed as this was a short stay as part of our two week trip around Costa Rica.
The staff wore meant many hats as it is a small resort and I would like to pay particular praise to Brian who was a young receptionist who spoke excellent English and was very clued up on the local area and resort.
The rooms were basic and the Aircon was excellent. The showers were surprisingly good, but the pressure in the taps was poor, but it didn’t really matter as we tended to have showers at the end of the day and just use the tapwater for brushing teeth and washing hands after toileting.
The breakfast once again was basic but sufficient. There was a selection of teas which was important with us being English and the coffee was very nice.
I would recommend this as a good base for your trip around Tortuguero."
