"The room smells like it has a bad drainage system. Once we enter the room and it smells like the toilet has been backed up. The fabric spray provided was useless. Attitude of staff were mixed, some discrimination were definitely present. Felt harrassed by the staff to settle the bill due to deciding to have extra guest in the room which we also had already decided to pay for. "

"The location was convenient. Some restaurants were nearby, one being the best ramen I had. There was a 711 about 2-3 minutes away. The station was about 5 mins away. Was convenient for going to Fushimi Inari and Gion. The Kyoto Station was about 10 minutes away which was fine since we only went twice--once when we came and the second when we left.
Now for the hotel itself, it was clean and quiet. Too quiet to my liking. I had the suite on the 7th floor. It's big for a family of 7. My issue was...

"This Kyoto hostel completely overturned my impression of local accommodations being typically cramped. Very clean and comfortable. High-quality beddings.The living room was surprisingly spacious—easily accommodating our big group with over ten large suitcases! Located near Fushimi Inari Shrine and Tofukuji Temple, it was very peaceful at night. We had brought thick bedding, worried that Kyoto might be cold, but the rooms were extremely comfortable. "Very helpful staff. Great location with walking distance to most Gion attractions (Pontocho Alley, Hanamikoji street, Kiyomizu Dera temple). Nice modern and comfortable rooms. We had the sauna room which worked great. We highly recommend this hotel. "
