The staff were very helpful.
The rooms had a microwave and refrigerator which were helpful.
The beds were clean and the rooms were decent.
There was no trash can in the room or bathroom. No sink strainer, just a gaping hole in the sink. The toilet seat was shaky and could fall off if you sat on it. Laundry from rooms was just lying outside the rooms and no one to remove them. Trash cans outside were overflowing. There were at least 3 additional trash bags near the trash can outside.
Overall for a night stay, it was bearable. But I would not stay with family for any longer than that.
The room is very clean and accommodating as far as some amenities go.
The parking was difficult. I had to drive around to find a parking spot and finally found one 10 doors away from my door. Being a single woman traveling alone I was kind of wary about where I parked my car. But otherwise everything else in the facility was fine. I think they did advertise breakfast but I didn't see any
Room smelled like a pet was sleeping there for months.
Staff on the counter was very unfriendly and did not have manner.
Filthy room. location was good.
I would not recommend staying here. This was my first time in Rochester, visiting for the night from Canada. The staff were the best part of the place and then it was all downhill. I was with a group, we booked 5 rooms and every one of those rooms reeked of smoke despite being non-smoking rooms. We had to keep the doors open for at least 45 minutes while we cleaned the space and even then the smell lingered. The carpets in each room were disgusting I would not recommend taking your shoes off. Over the vent of my smoke alarm was an old rag, our shower had a large crack on the wall and the bathtub had mildew around the parameter. There were no garbage bins in the rooms. And the smell, it was so bad it’s worth mentioning again. This place is a great location, if only the management would do the necessary repairs to make it worthwhile. I’m so surprised that a place like this is allowed to stay open considering how dilapidated it is.
Dirty, in disrepair, AC didn’t work, smokers next door, worn towels, tub did not look clean, sink cracked.
Mattresses were good.

Parking and check in were simple. The room was not a Hilton but it had all of the amenities like a refrigerator, microwave and free tv , soap and shampoo. I would stay again.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
The experience for me and my wife was not great but it wasn’t bad either. The room was clean and spacious, sadly my TV didn’t work well and would constantly shut off on its own and twice I had to go to the office and ask if they could send room service to help. For what you get it is very reasonable priced and cheap which was great but no pool, no breakfast, no amenities of any kind made it not worth it to me or my wife. What we did enjoy was the quiet and how big our room was.
My recent 1-night stay at the Red Roof Inn was exceptional. The staff went out of their way to ensure a warm welcome and were very responsive throughout my visit. My room was spotless, modern, and featured a incredibly comfortable mattress, ensuring a great night's sleep. The location is perfect, within walking distance to landmarks and top restaurants. Highly recommend for both business and leisure travelers!

The room did not have a smell which was great. The bed looked good from a distance but upon pulling back the sheets I could see stains on the mattress, top blanket as well as dirty and disgusting pillows under the pillowcases. What should have been a white pillow was yellow with brown and red stains. I had to purchase my own pillow and slept in my clothes on top of the cover. The toilet was not flushing correctly and the bathtub was dirty. Again at first glance the room looked ok but when looking further it was disgusting. Thank God I only had to stay the one night but never again will I stay there again, you literally get what you pay for smh
This is a run down hotel where the rooms are so dirty and felt uncomfortable with the bed and sheets were dirty. No proper towels and amenities. Pictures listed are deceiving.
This was the worse place I’ve ever stayed in. The sheets and comforters are permanently stained. The rooms have mold and smell like years worth of cigarette smoke. If you’re a prostitute or druggy, then you’ll like this place. Great location. But now I’m sick thanks to the mold and dirtiness.
My room as well as the linens smelled horrible of smoke. My clothes came home smelling like it and I had to wash everything when I got home. The body wash in the shower empty and the shampoo/ conditioner was low. But the bed was very comfortable and the staff was nice. This was okay for a one night if the room didn't smell so bad.

I was in Rochester NY for 3 solid days for The Shannon Joy Truth and Wellness Summit.
I traveled by car in from Dayton Ohio.
All I needed was a place to sleep and put my stuff while in N.Y.
Red Roof Inn did that just fine.
I'm a busker and I'm used to sleeping in my car overnight...so...having access to a full restroom facility, bed, tv, fridge, microwave...was adequate for me.
I require very little.
Warm..restroom and shower...secure place for my belongings was all met by Red Roof Inn.
If you desire "The Hilton Experience" every time you sleep somewhere other than your house? You will despise RRI.
But if you're a person like me who just needs adequate amenities for existence away from the house? You're good.
Thanks Red Roof Inn.
If I'm in that area of NY again? I'll come back.
Peace.

Find me on: rumble
A week before this, I stayed in a Red Roof Inn at Herkimer about 2 1/2 hours away and what a difference. In Herkimer they offered breakfast each morning, they had an ice machine that worked great, an operating laundromat and a small gym. The room I got was big and really nice, very clean and smelled good. Upon my arrival at the Henrietta location I asked about these amenities and they had none of these things except for an ice machine that didn’t work more than half of the time staying there. I had to change my room twice. The first room wreaked of cigarettes and dogs as the people next door were living there with their dogs and smoked cigarettes all throughout the night. When asking to change my room the desk attendant gave me a room that was even smaller than the room I reserved which was a deluxe room with a king bed. I had to go back and change my room again. The rooms are fairly clean. They don’t look like the pictures online. I picked this Red Roof Inn, because it was fairly priced and when looking at the pictures I thought what a good deal. But when you get a room here for the price you pay, once you get there you’ll understand why. My second room was on the second floor and they never cleared the top steps of snow. That’s an accident waiting to happen. I wouldn’t stay here again unless I have to.
