"We visited the first week in May 2026. The first room they gave us, on the ground floor, had a window with a broken lock. The room also had poor lighting. They moved us to another room on the ground floor. The window locked but the door wouldn’t latch or lock reliably. The third room was fine. "I checked out the three hot tubs while I was there. Two of the tubs had obviously not been maintained for a while. The water was cloudy and gave off a very unpleasant odor. The third tub was mostly empty of water. No soaking for me. The TV was somehow fixed at a certain volume, which I wanted to lower but could not. The mute button was also deactivated. Very frustrating!"

"Was there during remodeling of something, took me a minute to find out where I had to check in. Walls in the room were really dirty and banged up but everything else was clean. I had to go thru a process and register to connect my lap to wifi. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was 15$ but you got it back in discounts and Freeplay."

"We got there just as everything was opening. The lodge is clean , comfortable and helpful in showing us where the outside camp kitchen was in order to grill steaks. Sleeping was a little challenging as a bus full of teenagers pulled up and basically ran up and down the halls and stairs all night. Kids will be kids. I was just wondering where are the adults. It was kinda rude and inconsiderate"

"This is a great older property on the highway as you come into Lead from Deadwood. I used to live in town so .camilair with the property and it's history. They have cabins and rooms. We stayed in a room. It was roomy even with a King size bed, plus had a loveseat, tall dinette, dresser, fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Pet friendly property. "The room was nicely decorated and the bed so comfy. The bathroom was fabulous! It felt like a very high-end hotel. It was also extremely quiet. I was very impressed with Ethan at the front desk. He was so helpful, respectful and neatly dressed ;) It was also nice to walk downstairs right onto main street where all of the restaurants, shops and little casinos are walkable. Highly recommend! "
