"Unexpected stay at the holiday Inn in George after the car troubles we encountered near by on our way to our yearly trip to Mexico. Fortunately with one mechanic shop and one hotel both turned out to be our saviour. The Hotel was recently changed to Holiday Inn and was pleasantly surprised by how clean and spacious it was and the luxurious bedding with comfy mattress. "Hotel is nice, clean, and in a safe location. The pool and hot tub area is open 24 hours which is nice! The town is nestled in the mountains, less than a mile from the river, it’s beautiful there. The drive to Leavenworth is about 20-25 minutes, very easy drive. The rooms were small, but nice, clean and beds were comfortable. The TV was a nice size, probably 55” or so. I felt safe leaving my car in the parking lot, they offer free breakfast but we didn’t eat on the way out, so cannot speak to...
