"The best thing about the property is its history. The rooms are small and dated and if you like vintage it’s perfect. The hotel rooms were clean and the food was excellent. There is no housekeeping service, bathtubs are concave and could be dangerous, commodes don’t flush properly, there is no heat or air conditioning. The worst part is that the beautiful view in most of the windows especially those in the Promenade restaurant are filthy- I’m not sure they’ve ever been cleaned. The port holes in the rooms are almost as bad and in my room one didn’t even open. What a disappointment for the price of the room.
This was supposed to be a second honeymoon for us but it was disappointing.
I understand that it’s difficult to keep low cost but there are some things that could to make it more interesting that might overlook some of the lacking amenities. As a former hotel exec it could be improved.
Overall disappointing."
