"I had not just a great visit but a magical visit to this part western Everglades. My eastern Everglades tour was spent in a high rise chain moderately priced hotel. It was outside the park and every day that I returned to that facility the spell was broken but by the mall atmosphere. In this charming motel I arrived to an adventurous crowd sitting in lawn chairs outside their rooms enjoying the sunset. In the morning charming cafe very reasonably priced and good quality food was next door....

"The rooms looked newly remodeled and were very clean. I had a really good stay. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars was there were a few small black ants creeping around the floor in the bathroom as well as the main area by the bed. Also, I guess it's not really the hotel's fault, but I was in a room with an adjoining door to another room and I could hear their TV clear as a bell. More soundproofing between rooms woulda been nice. But overall I would totally recommend this place! "

"I stayed at this place for three nights, and unfortunately, none of the staff spoke English, which made communication very difficult. They also didn’t provide many basic amenities, which was disappointing. Additionally, the location wasn’t convenient or close to most of the places I needed to go."

"Upon check-in, our room REEKED of urine. It was so bad that we had to purchase air fresheners to make the room habitable for ONE NIGHT. We were booked for THREE. Upon notifying the front desk, they were very nice and advised that they would have house keeping do a deep cleaning while we were aware during the day time. Upon return, the room did smell more clean; however, by nightfall the odor returned. My daughters and I stayed for ONE night, because it was late. We checked out the next...
