The hotel is located in the heart of the town. Town center and local attractions are all within walking distance. Down sides hotel menu for restaurant a little bit lacking in choices All in all though a lovely quite and relaxing place to be.

We loved the setting - the Abbey ruins from the 1200's were beautiful and fascinating. I loved the view of them from the dining room windows. The food was excellent, too. Don't miss the Tien of smoked chicken starter. The room was lovely, as well.

This was a nice quiet hotel. A nice break in our trip to relax a little. Comfortable beds and a bath tub which I so enjoyed. There breakfast was really good as well.

This was very good, across the board, better than some of the flashier hotels in good locations in Dublin. It is tastefully decorated, and the dining experience is good. We loved the atmosphere in the pub/dining area. Local people seem to go there for a night out, and that's a good sign and we enjoyed participating -- some nice conversations.

Excellent 1 night stay in Roscommon.

Just a one night stay but very happy with it. Nice spacious and well equipped room. Friendly staff. I had dinner in the hotel, also good as was breakfast the next morning.

Short Break

We spent two very pleasant night's here and would gladly stay again and recommend to others. Staff are very welcoming and professional and the hotel is well located for a stroll into the town centre or exploring the surrounding area by car.Also the local golf club is a short drive away if one is so inclined.

A great stop—Roscommon, Ireland

The Abbey Hotel is beautiful! Our room had a view of the ruins and there was a wedding being held the night we stayed there! So many places to take great pictures & a nice pub inside! It’s lovely & I highly recommend

Peaceful location. Very green surroundings. Rooms were spacious. House keeping excellent. Breakfast buffet style but very good quality, my wife loved the gluten free bread, first day abit burnt but the rest perfect. All staff very polite & helpful with a smile.

Disappointing experience . Air con was noisy so had to ask reception to switch it off and then the following morning shower was too hot so couldn’t use it . They asked me to use the shower in another room but I had a connecting room so I asked them to use that which they reluctantly did . Breakfast was very poor . Wouldn’recommend it for a leisure trip

Poor communication of the staff feels like they are avoiding the customer. None of them in the breakfast area asked it was okay/ enjoyed. There was not enough options for breakfast. 1st night twice fire alarm went off and it lasted 20-35. E all came out of the building and were standing outside. After the 2nd episode the staff who reset the alarm responded to a customer’s question and said it was faulty. It is a nice place to stay. If the communication improves they can make this place as a wonderful holiday destination.

We had a wonderful stay at the Abbey Hotel in Roscommon. The rooms were comfortable, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff were welcoming and attentive. Everything about our visit was great — the only drawback was breakfast, as the sausage and eggs were a bit overcooked. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our time and would happily return.
