Note: the park across the street was sketchy with homeless and mentally challenged folks wandering around the park (including the kid's playground). However, unless you ok to risk having your car tampered with, parking on the street (limited parking available), then the only other option is to use the Hotel's overnight parking valet. This will cost you $55 per night. This is an absurd fee,...

"This was a nice hotel at one time, but it seems like the place is run down and in poor condition now. The Front desk guy and the valet/bell guys were helpful and friendly. The onsite restaurant "King Fish" should be avoided. The food we ordered was not good and the woman seating people at the breakfast service was quite rude both mornings we went there (since it was included in the room fee). "We chose this hotel for its convenient location within walking distance of a concert hall, restaurants, and shops, and importantly, for its self-parking option. Self-parking in downtown is surprisingly hard to find, so that was a big plus. The hotel is older and on the smaller side, but well maintained. The one area that could use more attention is the edges of the walls and glass doors in the bathroom, which needed a more thorough cleaning. One unexpected surprise: there is no in-room coffee...

"The bar closes at 10. The restaurant won't seat you without a "reservation" even though it's half empty. They probably have a staff shortage but won't admit it. Lobby tables left un-bussed. We had to do it ourselves. Room service, vacuums, etc are left in the hall for multiple days, let alone hours. And those nice, clear shower doors? Accumulated soap scum from previous guests. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet, which was the most important. Overall, a disappointing experience."

"We regularly stay at the Woodlark for the location. It’s expensive so we keep a lookout for when their rates are lower than their typical price. The beds are super comfortable. The soap and lotions are divine. It’s downtown in a safe area. It’s easy to access other parts of Portland by car from here. We self park at a relatively near parking garage on 10th which is much cheaper than the valet service."
