"The location of this property was great, on the perimeter of downtown Portsmouth which is a wonderful little city. The staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. The breakfast was delicious, both for good selection and the taste. My biggest complaint is that it was very noisy in my room. The AC unit is the loudest I've ever heard. A few times I thought it was a nearby train when it started running. Also the people in the room above me woke me up at 1 AM doing something. I didn't hear voices...

"The hotel was in an excellent location for easy walking to many of the attractions in Portsmouth NH. The rest is not so good! I booked this hotel for our 47th anniversary thinking that its harbor side location with views was romantic. The booking and pre visit communication was good yet we received no hotel entrance instructions until I called upon arriving at the hotel. There was no elevator access to the second story hotel entrance and a difficult climb for two 70 year olds up 20 steep...

"Loved the breakfast. Common areas were clean and well lit. The room, while comfortable, nut needed housekeeping attention, particularly the bathroom. I was confused by the room cleaning schedule of every other day. Our room was freshened only once in our 7 night stay. Trash was emptied only once. We liked the hotel and will return."

"I stayed here on a quick overnight after a delayed flight. The front desk person was pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and the bed and pillows were comfortable. There is a bar/restaurant where I got an appetizer. It was good.I left early in the morning, so I did not use the pool or fitness center. I appreciated the free coffee in the lobby."

Beds were advertised as queen but were only doubled. When brought to the staff’s attention, we were told that all beds are that size. So they are falsely offering larger beds. "I chose this particular hotel over others in the area because of the lower cost with good reviews. Right off the main highway, the hotel is literally in front of you. Check-in was very easy, and front desk attendant was extremely personable & helpful. He whipped out a map and explained everything we needed to know about the town and how to get around. "The room was very clean, decorated beautifully, and had great walkability. The bed was very comfy and had all the things you might need like kitchen and bathroom items. We wished we could stay longer!"

"The woman that checked us in was very polite and helpful. The room was very clean. All the necessary soaps and linens were available. The bed was a little softer than we are used to, but still very comfortable. The A/C unit was easy to control. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and fresh! A good assortment of cereals, bakery items, juice, hot items (make your own waffles, a pre-made omelet tea, sausage patties and home fries). Would definitely book this hotel again."
