"Greg and Peter were wonderful hosts. The room was extremely clean and a good size. The views of their garden and towards the bay were spectacular. Their breakfast was an absolute masterpiece - great choices, variety each day and so well served. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend them to anyone looking for special accommodation so close to Russell town centre."

"A beautiful location with a homely feel. Well equipped unit for four, great linen, lovely balcony. We paid more to have a sea facing room but considering how expensive the room was per night (and a lot more than last time we stayed) it’s disappointing that one room at least did not have an en-suite. Towels not changed daily (due to “saving water”), extra cleaning charge of $30 pp for the “two extra guests” even though we booked for four people - surely the room rate should be for four people...

"Really nice accommodation directly at the beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The room had a stunning 180 degree view on the ocean. There is a quiet beach right in front of it. It is absolutely as lovely as the pictures tell. The breakfast was very delicious and more than we could possibly eat. I highly recommend this place!"

"I stayed here for three nights and after an awkwardness over my fault twin booking all went well. Its a bit noisy, to be expected but the north side room view made up for that. I liked it but let down by the tired pricey restaurant. There's vastly better options down the attractive Strand foreshore. Tha Gables is amazing, Seaside has good fare and the Pompallier cottage cafe great for teas and tours."
