"The bathrooms could be modernised however in saying that the rooms were wonderful and clean, well equipped. The staff were always friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We had a clean and refresh of towels and cleaning products like laundry powder and dishwashing liquid midway through our stay (despite only staying 6 days) which was extremely helpful and nice. The hotel itself is situated in a great location; walking distance to the pier, night markets, lagoon, casino, countless restaurants and shops."

"We had a wonderful stay at Shangri-La Cairns, and while the hotel itself is in an excellent location and is both beautiful and comfortable, what truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding service from the staff. From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Every interaction was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful, and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble. The staff’s friendliness and care consistently elevated our stay and made everything feel effortless and well looked after. We also enjoyed the breakfast and the 5pm canapés, which were a lovely touch to start and end each day. Our room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing, but it was the exceptional service that truly defined our experience. Overall, it was a genuinely memorable stay, made special by the incredible staff, and we would happily return."

"We only booked for one night en route to Cairns, and wish we had stayed longer to explore the area more. Our room was really nicely made up and comfortable. Breakfast is included in the room cost and when they found out we were leaving early we were given a packed breakfast so we didn't miss out, which was very thoughtful. There's a cute gift shop on site with a very varied selection of locally made art and craft work at very reasonable prices. The restaurant wasn't open, but there were lots of options in town to choose from."

"We would have preferred a buffet breakfast but the Alacarte was very nice .Katrin at breakfast was wonderful and looked after us really well. All the staff from reception to housekeeping to hospitality were especially helpful. There is a Woolworths just around the corner and the bus terminal is a comfortable walk, even for us seniors. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom had a separate toilet with basin. body wash shampoo and conditioner were on the wall dispensers which was very convenient. Lifts were prompt even though the hotel was at capacity. Generally a great hotel in a convenient location with great staff. We will stay here again!"
