The chair by the desk was a flimsy wheeled chair, the kind you pick up for a couple of bucks because you know your kid is going to trash it anyway. "The hotel itself was nice, just as pictured & conveniently located, served its purpose. The room was nice a bit larger than expected & beautiful river view however to be a newer I was surprised that our initial room smelled like mildew/mold. The smell came from the bathroom which was right by the entrance so soon as you walk in it hit you. I believe due to the showers not having doors the water escapes into the flooring or somewhere. "The motel was not well lit and hard to find after dark. The check-in is easiest from the back, so it looked like the place was deserted, which it wasn’t. Better lighting could help a lot with that. "Very small breakfast. Cereal, yogurt, and toast. I unfortunately am on a no carb diet so no breakfast for me. Would have been nice to have at least boiled eggs. I also recommend taking a video of the room before you unpack and when you leave, and don’t forget to count the towels!"

I understand things happened so I didn’t think it would be a problem but the next day I went for breakfast and upon returning to my room key cards did not work. "We like the Hilton Garden Inn and have stayed there a number of times. We like that the rooms and the hotel are very clean and the staff are helpful.
