"The location was ideal. The room was dated but fine. It looked like the sheets on the pull out bed had not been changed from last guest and there were a lot of ants. We were also asked to pay a deposit when we arrived, which I wasn't aware of and eventually they let it go but not without having to get upset about it."

"Location is fantastic! You can’t get better. Corner of the street , opposite to the ferry terminal, next to shop and restaurant. 5 minutes from old/heritage theatre. Bed is comfortable, good pressure in the shower. Staff are really nice. It has caracter! As it is old it does have some squeaking floor board and the solarium is single glazed but it’s also part of the charm. Just don’t expect soundproof and immaculate doors and fabric as it is vantage. "The front desk was attentive when I asked for the kettle to be changed out. It was very useful to have access to laundry facilities for free if you do not have them in your room, you just need your own detergent or can ask staff to provide (not sure if they ask for a fee for that). Staff were friendly and I loved the room. The breakfast was fine, but perhaps could do with more variety as the days I went there it was the same each time. Maybe a buffet dinner as an option for one free meal each...

"Great place to stay in Auckland - our room was spacious and came with a microwave, toaster, and fridge. There is also a communal laundry and kitchen area. Staff were helpful, and the walk into the city centre was easy. I would stay here again - it's great value for money!"

"This stay wasn’t as good as my last as this room didn’t have a seat and table. Had I known rooms of the same standard have different layouts, I would have asked for one with a seat and small table. This room was much smaller than last time and I wondered if I’d had a first time experience that wasn’t to be repeated."

Arrived at 4pm, no one in reception - greeted by someone in pajamas - parking was down the back of a steep driveway on the property, at an addidtion $20 - if a car spot is available. Nothing flash about the room, water pressure not great - for one night - go ahead, for more than that - book elsewhere "
