"Lovely old fashioned hotel in a lovely spot and excellent service throughout"

"Nice welcoming staff. Good breakfast, promptly served. But the hotel is very run down and needs to be cleaned more carefully. Not the place to be in hot weather. My window barely opened and the bathroom radiator was full on - and impossible to turn off. No fan available either!"

"On entering the hotel you will be met by warm and inviting staff. off to the left of the reception is an insanely stocked whisky lounge but prices are on the steep side for you average dram. There is a 24 bar located en route to the rooms and an Aperol was £18!!! scandalous. Charlies is the main restaurant and breakfast area. breakfast was good but the plates were weirdly small, slightly bigger than a side plate. the smell of the “Smokies” reeked out the lobby at the lifts and filled the...

"Hotel is very pet-friendly and hence the reason for our visit. We stayed in a 1 bedroom cottage which was ideal for us and our dog. The only criticism is the food at Spike's Bar (at the golf club) was a little bit disappointing."
