"Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment.
Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs.
The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off.
Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners."

"I loved staying at The Beaches because everything was perfect, the owners were on hand to do breakfast every morning which wasn't limited to either a full English or just cereals (as in some B&B's that I've stayed in), they were happy to be of any help that you needed. I would be very happy to stay there next year when I go down again. There was nothing to hate about staying there."

"We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!"

"Great hotel with character. It was nice and quiet. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Andrew was very accommodating and made us welcome. The rooms were very clean and modern. We were there on May bank holiday weekend, the hottest of the year and were provided with fans for our rooms which came in very handy. I would recommend the Queenswood Hotel for sure."

"As soon as I checked in, friendly lovely staff members let me check in a bit early which helped as I had heavy suitcase and I got my room straight. They gave me recommendations for food nearby too which was really helpful as I wasn’t sure what was good local foods.
If you want a place to stay in Barry this is it for sure.
And one other positive right next to the Barry station within good walking distance."

"An extremely quick and friendly welcome and check in, especially as we arrived around 10:30pm after a busy day out and about. Room was large and welcoming, nicely decorated and with three large opening windows for us to control air to the room and a required temperature. "The staff were helpful, the environment was clean, and the stay was generally peaceful with no disturbances.
However, we were disappointed with the swimming pool facilities for families with children. There was no separate pool for kids, and the main pool was 1.3 metres deep. Surprisingly, the hotel had designated this pool for family and children's swimming sessions between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., which did not seem practical or safe. There were also no safety aids available, and no lifeguard...
