Excellent place in a prosaic neighbourhood of strip malls but easy to get into town or other places quickly if you have a car. Which is sort of the whole point of a motel. I chose to stay in St. John West as it is handier to the Digby ferry than the other side of the bridge. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Overnight stay before catching the ferry the next morning. Very clean. Friendly front desk hostess. OK continental breakfast.. Right beside shopping and food options. Will definitely return.

There was a dog in the room alone beside us for 2 days as the owner took off and the dog was constantly barking . Also was told there was hot breakfast with the room … it was bagels , toast and cereal :(

Hello, I am so sorry to hear you had struggles during your stay with us. The hotel has come under new management recently and we take guest comfort very seriously. Sadly we are just finishing up with renovations and that has delayed the launch of some of our new offerings, such as hot breakfast. Now we are offering scrambled eggs and sausage links, on top of our existing variety of breads, bagels, muffins, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, and fresh fruits. I'm very excited that we will also be adding a pancake machine in the very near future. I hope if you come stay with us again, you will see a great improvement. Good location, good price. Breakfast was ok. The hotel has been renovated and it was decent. Someone had obviously bees smoking in the stairwell, which is not the hotel’s fault, but it was pretty stinky. Also there were a lot of cigarette butts on the ground outside the door from our room. We rented a suite thinking that our son could have the front room and watch tv after we went to bed, but the main room was mostly empty and the tv, fridge and microwave were in the bedroom. I thought that was odd. We stayed at the same hotel last year and the suite had a living room with tv, fridge microwave etc. Not sure why this room is backward.

This place was not finished. It was under construction when my girlfriend and I arrived. It was quite sketchy, the whole first floor was under construction so they could not offer first-floor accommodations which I told them was necessary due to a condition I suffer from, I can not do elevators nor stairwells too confining for my health. That is against the rules to not offer what a customer requires and to keep my money when I told them twice no to rooms 205 and 305. Both rooms smelled like they were just painted and the smell would give anyone a headache. The salesperson told us to open the window, In the middle of the winter in CANADA. We are visiting from Florida, it's cold for us. Then to be told to open a window. What kind of service is this? I asked for my refund and the agent would not speak to me any longer.. So rude,, so uncalled for, and both my girlfriend and I DID NOT FEEL SAFE. The hotel was not ready to be rented and they are now keeping my money.. I will call the CEO of Wyndham and complain about this situation. Letting two women be visiually harrassed by the men working and knowing that they have access to our room two single women. NO WAY WOULD I STAY nor even consider another Wyndham property ever again. That employee needs to leave the establishment. I plan to call back and ask for the manager because just refund is not enough in my opinion! Harassment should never be felt by a guest!!!

Upon arrival there was nobody at the front desk to check us in. We waited 10 to 15 minutes and I then looked up the phone number and reached the general manager who was in his adjacent office with door closed and he didn’t know where the front desk person was. So he checked us in but the room keys didn’t work once we finally got up to our room and we had to trek back down to get them activated. Not a good experience at all. Other than that it was ok but I wouldn’t stay here again and I will probably avoid Travelodge in the future.
