A recommander pour un séjour à Santa Maria
Hôtel propre, équipements en bon état, les chambres sont spacieuses (coin salon, balcon donnant sur la piscine). La piscine est très agréable. Petit déjeuner très correct. Le personnel est aux petits soins. Le quartier est calme, en retrait de la zone touristique mais en 5 minutes vous êtes sur la grande rue piétonne et ses multiples bars, restos et magasins.

Good location great value nice people
Organised an airport transfer but no one came to collect, luckily there was a night guard who could still check us in and we did get a free upgrade. Also extending the stay was very easy. Location is good very near the beach and room condition was great also. Would recommend

Bon hôtel un peu excentré
Bon hôtel à Santa Maria mais un peu excentré (pas de panique, une quinzaine de minutes de marche et vous êtes au centre ville. Comptez 5 à 10 minutes pour la plage). Chambre confortable, wifi parfaite, piscine agréable et bon petit déjeuner. Seuls bémols, la navette aéroport pourtant commandée à l'avance n'est jamais venue et j'ai dû prendre un taxi (au même prix que celui convenu avec l'hôtel) et pour le retour, l'hôtel demandait 5 € de plus qu'initialement prévu. J'ai donc été chercher un taxi moi même. Ah oui. Pas de shampoing dans les chambres. Uniquement du savon. Il y a un petit magasin chinois à 50 mètres. Vous pourrez en acheter là bas au cas où

Good hotel but lacking in some areas
Nice enough hotel just a short walk to the centre of the town. First night there was a loud buzzing from electricity box that kept me up all night. That was sorted the next day. I had 2 VIP Gold offers on my account. They failed to provide either of them. Didn’t receive a bottle of sparkling wine on checkin. Indeed they charged me €2 for a bottle of water. I was also entitled to free late checkout. They refused unless I paid €25 (so there was obviously availability). The shower seems to run out of hot water by 9am. So I couldn’t shower before checking out. It’s ok for the price, but might be worth ignoring any Gold benefits offered (you won’t get them) and paying a bit more to stay somewhere else.

About the noise in the room at your first night, we were not aware, but soon after your reported it to our reception it was resolved immediately. About the VIP treatment, we always make the point of making this improvement, in our restaurant, we offer bottles of champagne for our VIP customers, maybe it was a lack of communication between both parties. Bottles of water are not included in the booking, therefore this is at an extra cost. Check out, however this is specified at the time of booking, We really could be a little more flexible in this case, since it wouldn't be too late. Average
Breakfast spread was really scanty. On my last morning we literally only had bread, egg, cheese. No bacon, no sausages, no cereal, no fresh juice, no yoghurt I couldn’t sit in my ground floor room balcony because water from the AC units in the top rooms was channeled to my balcony. Disgusting.

Un personnel agréable et serviable mais qui manque cruellement d’anticipation dans le service client. Il faut en permanence demander la moindre chose. Établissement propre et bien entretenu mais qui a de sérieux problèmes de canalisation et de plomberie (odeurs, fuites...). Un gros point noir le petit déjeuner qui est resté invariablement le même pendant une semaine. Une piscine en maintenance toute la semaine et qui n’est pas prête d’être utilisée. C’est dommage que tant de petits détails font que cet établissement qui est correct et qui ne fait usine comme le reste des hôtels de l’île soit si mal tenu.

Struttura completamente ristrutturata. Pulizia eccellente in tutti i locali, camere spaziose e confortevoli. Unico neo, se proprio vogliamo fare i pignoli.....manca il portasapone nella doccia e sul mobile bagno. Colazione ricca e prodotti sempre freschi. Un bell’ambiente moderno dove rilassarsi. Il personale è di una gentilezza e cortesia infinite. Situato in un quartiere tranquillo ma allo stesso tempo a due passi dal centro e dalla spiaggia. Consiglieró sicuramente questo hotel ad amici. Lovely stay! Clean, modern, beautiful hotel. Lovely location, close to the beach and some great restaurants but out the way enough that you feel like one of the locals. Really happy friendly staff, from reception, kitchen to house keeping. Everyone says good morning and couldn’t help you enough! Towels were provided everyday, aircon worked beautifully, shower was lovely, beds really comfy. I can’t fault our stay if I tried. And I would definitely consider staying again!

Fabuleux, le meilleur rapport qualité prix
Excellent séjour au Da Luz. Super hotel, très récent, tout confort. Petit déjeuner très bon, personnel très agréable et directrice très sympathique qui ont tout fait pour qu'on se sente à l'aise et que nous passions un bon séjour. L'hôtel est proche du coeur de Santa Maria et présente l'avantage de nous donner l'impression d'un véritable séjour au cap vert. Seul léger bémol, la présence de locaux une après-midi à la piscine de l'hôtel alors que ces derniers n'étaient pas clients mais seulement client du bar (voir bons clients vu la consommation en alcool). Pour le reste je recommande vivement cet hotel formidable et j'y retournerai si je passe un nouveau séjour à Sal.

L’accueil est chaleureux.. nous avons eu un surclassement et une extension de séjour de quelques heures sans frais supplémentaires. Irène, la gérante, est super aimable et toujours à l’aide. Santa Maria est très petite donc même si cet hôtel est un peu loin de la zone des restaurants, bars et de la plage ça reste quelques minutes à pieds seulement. Le petit déjeuner pourrait être un peu plus riche et le staff parlant mieux anglais ou français mais sinon rien à reprocher. Je le recommande vivement et sans réserve.

I stayed at Hotel Da Luz for a week, the hotel has been recemtly refurbished to a high standard, my room was clean and kept clean throughout the week. The staff were attentive and helpful, ordering me taxis when needed and answering my questions. Breakfast was a fairly standard continental one but for the cheap price i paid for they stay was better than expected. Angulo beach bar is just a few minutes away where you can hire paddle boards and windsurfers etc, swim or just chill at the bar. I would recommend this hotel, very good value for money and would definately stay there again.
