"Lovely, up-market hotel in Salcombe. Very nice staff. Loved the free G&T in our room on the first night. Lovely meal in the restaurant. Parking also good. Only gripe was the hated bottles of shampoo/body wash locked and positioned so that you have to stand up to get any when having a the bath. Please bring back the little bottles and bars of soap!"

"We stayed at Gara Rock for four nights and were disappointed by several issues. While the hotel has potential, the negatives stood out. There were two boiler outages—one on the first morning and another on the final evening. During the first, we were asked to use the penthouse bathroom but not offered a room change. The second outage was resolved in an hour, delaying our dinner reservation. We were told the issues were due to cold weather and high occupancy, which felt unacceptable. The cinema...

"Situated in a beautiful isolated area close to the beach. Excellent food, particularly breakfast. Good, friendly service and clean comfortable rooms"

"Right in the middle of town so a bit noisy but otherwise fantastic. The Garden suite has its own entrance and is a lovely room with a fabulous feature bath. Parking permit provided for the long stay car park. Breakfast is amazing- would totally recommend this pub"
