"Pros: they let us check in the morning which was awesome so we didn’t have to lug our luggage around! Also, the hotel is literally a stones throw to the train station that takes you straight into Venice- couldn’t have gotten closer. Hotel staff was very nice.
Cons: Room smelled like cigarette smoke. Mold in the shower. And someone came into our room right after we had checked in and left the hotel. None of our things were missing but it was odd especially after the maids had obviously already...

"It was difficult for my cab driver to find apparently and he left me off at the catessera resort. I had to get a ride a short distance after the cab let me off but I could not have walked it with all the luggage I had. I was pleased there was an elevator. There is a large menu on a stand right where you check in and there was no dinner service… so don’t mind the menu. They did have a nice breakfast buffet. There is a nice little restaurant within walking distance. I felt safe as a single older...
