When we got to the hotel and checked in, I was not informed that I did not get the room that I booked that morning. It wasn't until i got to the room, that I found out it was a completely different room. I went down to talk to the front desk clerk and he said "Oh I forgot to tell you we sold out of your room." When I booked that room earlier in the morning, there were 3 reservations left. So, there should have been at least one room for my family and I. We were going to let it slide and talk to the manager in the morning about getting a portion of what we paid for the room back since it was a smaller room, but the room was dirty. There was some kind of sticky stain on one of the nights stands (definitely not a scratch in the wood). Fixtures were dirty, water stains in the ceiling. There was still trash from a previous guest in there. Significant mold in the cabinet underneath the sink. Someone elses hair in the drawers. At that point after only being in there for 10 minutes, we decided to cancel our stay. Ended up having to stay with a family member last minute. Terrible experience. In all my time using Hotels.com, this is the first bad experience I have had. The Hotels.com app wont even let me post the pictures.
