Staff amazing. Older building, first room had a "heavy" dated atmosphere but 2nd room was brighter. Coffee shop closes at 1600 and diner is old with limited menu options and food is 6-7 out of 10. No special coffee. Location is about 10 minute walk to river walk which is not convenient for elderly people who are limited mobility. Staff amazing. But I am not going to stay there again

There was nothing special about this hotel. I was not impressed, and considering the water faucet for the tub/shower kept falling off every time you turned it on (even after they told us they fixed it) there was really nothing impressive about it. No continental breakfast, but you could get breakfast at the attached restaurant. Just over all expected a little better. What I will say is every employee we had contact with was OUTSTANDING! They were the best part of the hotel.

Things were not in working order. We needed Wi-Fi to work while there and the signal too weak. The staff just said sorry. The tub jacuzzi didn’t work. The tv in bedroom didn’t have a remote. The staff tried another remote but nothing worked. Couch and carpet were so stained (in the presidential suite I might add) that we had to keep shoes on and sit on a blanket. Would not stay there again.

This is an older hotel nestled in the Historic area of The Alamo. Very clean with amazing friendly staff. Loads of things to see, eat and do. We particularly loved the Riverwalk area!

The staff was pleasant and helpful. This property is located in what can only be described as an isolated area. When you walk from the hotel towards the downtown, there are very few people on the street, and the ones that are there are homeless, or drugged out/mentally ill people, so it seems unsafe. Separately, in terms of the room, I stayed in a double. The bed was comfortable and the pillows and linens were fine. It was nice to have a small refrigerator in the room as well; these were appreciated amenities. The bathroom however was sub-par. The soap dish was chipped, which should have been replaced. The bathtub lining was also chipped up, and the shampoo dispenser was leaking shampoo into the bathtub everyday, so creating a slippery hazard when you turned on the shower. There was no floor mat provided. The walls of the room were badly scuffed up. Instead of carpeting, the hotel has installed fake "wood" and the floors felt gritty to walk on when I was barefoot. The window shade was ripped. These are small things, but they add up to create a poor impression. Even in the elevator, no one was wiping it down it was covered with fingerprints and smears, which gives the impression that it's dirty. Finally, I would definitely avoid "The Gavel" which is the onsite restaurant/bar. The food was truly terrible, although the staff goes out of their way to be extremely helpful to guests and super polite. I would not recommend this property.

The Riverwalk Plaza Hotel was the perfect location if your intin visiting the riverwalk. The staff was very nice and friendly. The room had a nice set up however the room wasn't very clean or practical. The pool area was nice.

Quite location on the riverwalk. The hotel is older but clean and the staff were really great.

Two nights stay in March 1926. Booked the balcony room. The view was good. The room was adequate. However, upon arrival, the refrigerator didn’t work, we had it replaced. We asked for service on the room during our two day stay and all they brought us was towels no sheet change no floor sweep no garbage trash removal from the room. When we requested why service wasn’t done to the room they mentioned they would bring a sheet so we could change our own sheets, but I spoke to the general manager the next day about it. He was incredibly rude and said policy was that they didn’t change sheets unless you request changing of sheets in your room service request, which would mean you would have to call instead of just putting the placard on the door which is described in the text messages you get every day regarding service on your room. We did all that they required and yet they did not change our sheets. They did not take the trash out. There’s so much lint on the exhaust fan cover in the bathroom that had never been cleaned that the steam builds up in the room. I had to pull the cover away from the wall to get any relief from the steam of the shower. Again, they did not change the sheets when we requested service to a room. They said they didn’t change the sheets because we actually have to call to ask for a change because they don’t normally change sheets unless you request. Nonsense the general manager is garbage. I will come back and post a link to our conversation.

The Riverwalk Plaza hotel even though you request service will not change your sheets! They did not take the trash. All they did was brought towels, not even a brief sweep of the floor.

Hotel was quiet. Bed was very comfy. We had a balcony that was nice. View was mostly building but you could see the end of the river walk. The hotel is not in a busy area of the riverwalk. If you want to be in the middle of all the action this is not your hotel. Restaurant was ok if you want something close.
