Best Western Seven Seas
4/10 Poor
"After I checked in I went to the room and the keys didn’t work. The front desk advised me that the battery was dead on the door lock so I needed to change rooms. There were no similar rooms available so I was given a downgraded room. I was told I would be given half off for my first night and moved into a comparable room that I had originally booked. Neither of these things were followed through. The landscaping is well maintained and the staff is friendly. The room was old with stains on the carpet and an empty beer or soda can under the bed. The room was cheap so I guess I wasn’t surprised."

The Alcala Hotel Mission Valley/Seaworld
6/10 Okay
"The description of the bed on the website site was queen bed but the actual size was a full bed. The gym is almost not usable. There is no game room as described on the website. The toiletries was insufficient . The aircon in our room was so noisy everytime it runs on and I was not able to sleep because of the loud noise it was producing every few minutes .The place could use a little bit more cleaning and fixing up. The staff were great though and the breakfast was good. The price we got was good but you really get what you pay for."

San Diego Mission Bay Resort
6/10 Okay
"I recently stayed at San Diego Mission Bay Resort and had mixed feelings about the experience. The property is beautiful, and my top-floor room had a great view. The resort generally looks like the photos, although the grounds felt much smaller in person than expected. Check-in was disappointing. I arrived early and waited about 15 minutes to be helped despite being the only guest in line. It appeared staff were being trained during the process, which made the experience feel disorganized. I was also surprised by the $40 early check-in fee if a room was available. I knew about the $46 daily resort fee before arriving, but I didn’t feel the included amenities (Wi-Fi, pool towels, pickleball and tennis courts, etc.) justified the cost. The on-site dining was expensive. One mimosa and two shrimp tacos with no sides came to nearly $50 after tax and tip. Service was also slow, and I waited about 10 minutes to be seated on a Thursday morning with very few guests around. The room was nice overall, but there was leftover takeout food in the refrigerator from a previous guest. The bathroom was extremely small, and bottled water in the room cost $8 per bottle. One bright spot was the employee working in the coffee shop. I didn’t get her name, but she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and provided the best customer service I experienced during my stay. Beautiful views, but the service, housekeeping oversight, food prices, would make me choose a different property in the future."

Bahia Resort Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I loved my time there! It was a solo trip and I felt safe. My room was clean and the staff was beyond courteous and helpful. Awesome, drinks, dinner, and sunset! I want to being my family there and have the experience of the bay outside our doors and the ocean within walking distance. Thank you for everything."

Days Inn by Wyndham San Diego Hotel Circle
10/10 Excellent
"Room and grounds were very clean. Convenient location right off the freeway. Only draw back was that both the ice machine and water dispenser were both out of order but the staff were nice enough to let us use the water dispenser in their break room. Would stay there again."

Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego

California Suites Hotel
8/10 Good
"Dated hotel, very nice staff, parking is free but good luck getting a spot. The place was clean, room was roomy enough but in desperate need of updating. The bed was horrible -lumpy and it feels weary worn out. Conveniently located to highway and many local attractions. All and all a decent hotel for people in a budget."

The DEXTRO Little Italy, BW Premier Collection
8/10 Good
"Good stay with comfortable bed. Room was slight wear and tear. Ceiling had a stain that could have been cleaned up. Hotel right by freeway so you can hear the cars driving by in room."
