Absolutely no parking on premises. No valet. I parked 4-blocks away on Van Ness before it felt safe. Don't believe the 3-4 star ratings. The shower didn't have a shower head. We had to be moved to a second room to have a showed Elevator was inoperable two of our three day stay. Smallest rooms in my 40 years of USA travel. Property is on the border of the homeless (Tenderloin) area. Police swept up tents in the alley our first day. This is at best a 2-star hotel. The staff was friendly.

Noisy neighborhood: Car radios blaring at random times during the day and night. Emergency sirens blared several times per day including the overnight hours. Was unable to sleep with all the outside noise. Decent hotel in a really bad neighborhood. Good property if you don't mind the noise.

The front desk were very uninviting. And we’re on their phones the entire time they were up there. When I asked politely if o could get extra blankets. I was told they don’t have those at this time. But, I felt like the guy just didn’t want to get them and hates his job. Not a very welcoming stay.

Newly opened hotel. Basics. No F&B within. Most importantly do not go out at night...Alone. Danger lurks...Drug addicts squatting on sidewalks, around the corners. Feces in alleyways next to Kentucky Fried Chicken. Horrendously unsafe location. The Tenderloin worse streets in San Francisco.

I arrive to find out the hotel is closed for reservations. One of the contract workers needed to direct me to a different hotle 6 blocks away . The new hotel was nice and i was not the only guest surprised

Le secteur où l’hôtel est situé n’est pas très sécuritaire , il y a beaucoup de drogué. Ils se font des injections autant le jour que le soir. Le secteur est peux recommandables pour des touristes.

The hotel and room itself was very clean and nice. Comfortable bed, shower. Only down side was the alley way in the back of our room, which is not the hotels fault. Loud, crowded middle of the night. But still nice stay for the price.

Think twice about Hotel Epik if you want comfort
The room was literally like living in a box , as soon as I open the door the door does not fully open and hits the end of the bed literally as soon as you open it and my lady gets bit by a bug in the bed 30 minutes into us just checking in the room and we instantly wanted a refund which I did receive , the internet pictures of hotel epic looked nice but were very deceiving as far how big the room actually was

BEWARE: DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE
I never leave reviews as bad as this but if I could give negative stars here I would. The receptionist had no clue what they were doing and it took 50 minutes to find the reservation. Once I got to my room it was the size of a thimble. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. You are better off sleeping in the street outside.

Love the ease of checking in the friendly staff and house keeping. So refreshing for San Francisco! I love this city but it's not exactly known for customer service. Very clean and quiet. If u have a guest just tell them your room#, no inquisition from front desk and you can just wait for their knock, also refreshing for this city.

The room was small with no ability upgrade. I use a walker for mobility. The room had no access to move around in my walker. The bathroom i was not able to get through to the shower. The room had housekeeping daily but the sheets were never changed and one day no housekeeping was done. A purely awful experience.

The staff is really friendly and accommodating. The owner however, went inside my room without my permission while I was out, to retrieve a chair that I took from the lobby area (with the permission of a staff). Regardless of whether I should or should not take the chair, they should not have go inside my room while there's a DND tag on the door. They could have called my cell phone first to ask for permission. They could also have checked with all their reception staff (which there are 4 in total so no problem with checking) before acting like the hotel's on fire, for a chair that they know inside a room and not really missing.The owner acted like the "owner" of the business and talked to me in a "I'm the owner" way, instead of realizing that I'm a guest, and I should be treated like a guest regardless of his status "the business owner". To sum it up, I might not come back just because I spite the owner and don't want to give my business to him. Shout out to Darcial for a very good customer service.

Clean and modern, could have better sound proofing
Hotel EPIK is a clean modern hotel in a not-so-great neighborhood. Yes, there are homeless and druggies hanging out nearby but they typically don’t bother tourists. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the Nespresso machine is a nice touch. If you are on a lower level or near the street, you can hear quite a bit of commotion and riffraff (sirens too) late into the night. Recommend earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.

The young gentleman who checked us in was very friendly and efficient getting us done so we could get to our room and settled in as quickly as possible.There were misleading or false amenities/accomodations we were expecting such as a microwave, refrigerator, bottled water, in room safe, robes and slippers all of which were not provided. The room was very comfy and the entire theme was fun however I wish the rooms were a bit bigger

I appreciate the quick check in. Didn’t need to sign anything and went to my room quickly … when I went to the “luxurious nespresso” machine my partner and I tried to figure out how to work it. We were there for 15 minutes then asked front desk (who was on her phone the entire time) how to work it and she told us the machine was out of order. . . Another person in the lounge said “you would think she would let you know after attempting so many times” overall cute stay but bad service

My significant other and I decided planned a 10 day road trip from Southern California to Portland. I booked two nights from the 3rd-5th of July. This was my first time staying in San Francisco, and I was shocked to find a 2 night stay for under $300. For some context, I grew up in a really rough neighborhood. I’ve lived in the county that has one of the highest crime and homicide rates in all of the US for most of my life. I felt scared and unsafe from the moment I arrived. The alley was full of questionable people. There was no unloading parking near the hotel, so we parked in the alley right next to the hotel. We were scared someone would try to break into the car, so one of us stayed while the other went inside to check in. There is no parking avaliable. The check in process was simple, and the front desk recommended a parking garage with overnight parking. It was $30 every 12 hours. We got a queen room and it was tiny. The restroom door was frosted glass, so there isn’t really any privacy. The room has a coat rack and a dresser, but no other space for storage. You can hear everything outside and in other rooms. The bed is very comfortable, but you can hear sirens all night. If you’re brave enough to stay there, I think it’s fine for a solo 2 night stay max. I personally would not stay there again.

Looking at the pictures before booking where good. Hotel inside was clean And room was ok overall.. Once we got to the hotel there are many homeless shooting and selling drugs outside .. there is also no parking and the staff lady will hand you 2 parking spots where you could leave your car but you have to pay extra I payed $30 for that night …

Hotel is nice, and conveniently located. For parking, there is a surface parking lot 5min walk away (do not leave anything visible in parked cars. Smash & Grab is very common, especially in tourist spots & street parking) It's around the corner from the Tenderloin, so avoid east of Polk St. If you're unfamiliar with the area.

Very few amenities. Could not even get a bottle opener. Nowhere for drop off or pickup without risking $300 ticket. Woman across hall supposedly overdosed in middle of the night. Had to leave early and they could not assure I’d get a refund for unused nights.

Hotel itself was ok. Small room but the surrounding area is the worst in SF. I was scared to leave the building. Not the hotels fault but it is what it is. Also homeless noise all night. Never staying again.
