Amazing stay. We loved it from the moment we checked in, Andres met us as we walked up and gave us the tour, made us feel like family right from hello. The room was so cozy and the bathroom was beautifully renovated. The surroundings are so serene. And the food, take them up on staying for dinner. The BEST meal I have ever eaten, Berta is an amazing chef. We stayed for dinner both nights and it was beyond worth it. My only regret was not staying longer.

Wer Ruhe und familiäre Atmosphäre sucht, ist hier richtig! Wie Urlaub bei Freunden. Andrea und Berta sind sehr liebenswürdig und immer um das Wohl ihrer Gäste bemüht. Das Essen ist der Hammer, schwer empfehlenswert. Andrea führt perfekt durch die Weinkarte.

サン・ジミニャーノの町まで車で20分足らず、シエナまでも1時間程度ながら、完全な隠れ家的なホテル。屋外スイミング・プールやレストランもあり、ヨーロッパ各国からの長期滞在客が多く、オーナー家族によるサービスも快適。エアコンやテレビもなく、WIFI 環境はあるが形態の電波は通じないため、本当に隔離された時間と空間を楽しむには持って来いの隠れ家。

Spectacular

From the moment we arrived the setting and the friendly welcome made us feel immediatly relaxed and comfortable. The care with which everyone at Casolare di Libbiano take shows with the beautifully kept terraces, gardens and pool area, the clean and relaxing comunal areas and what can only be described as fantastic food. Berta and Andrea and their team have a gem here and looked after us with nothing being too much trouble including providing for our daughter who is lactoes intolerant. If you're looking for a place to relax and enjoy great food then this is the place for you, If and hopefully when we return to Tuscany we will certaily be staying here again.

There is a long dirt road to get to the property. We were in a rental car and not a four wheel drive and to get back to the accommodation at night was rather scary. It is very well positioned to tour the fabulous Tuscan countryside. Warning of the long dirt road should be advised.

Die "andere" Unterkunft, individuell, mit Charakter und Rafinesse. Wer von Hotelketten die Nase voll hat, findet hier nicht nur das andere, sondern die schönere und besondere Unterkunft. Es hat Charme, bietet so viel Persönlichkeit durch Berta & Andrea und hebt sich so vom Hotelalltag ab. Es ist wie Urlaub bei guten Freunden, aber man wird bedient und super bekocht. Das Essen und die Freundlichkeit sind das non-plus-ultra. Hier sollte man hinfahren, wenn man Ruhe sucht, Toskana "erleben" möchte und nicht nur sehen. Es hat sich die Natürlichkeit bewahrt, es ist ist halt typisch Toskana und kein Style. Wir mochten sowas und haben es 120% bekommen ... nochmals das Abendessen war der Hammer und versprüht Gusto Toskana. Man sollte sich darauf einlassen und genießen, der Wein sehr gut, der Service 1a. Hier wird das ursprüngliche Toskana im ganzen vom Traum zur Wirklichkeit.

A bit outside the San Gimignano reachable via a unpaved road you reach the perfect spot to come down in gear. Very warm welcome with a tour through the house, such nice rooms fitting the soul of the buildings and a great dinner and breakfast. What is not to like. Next time we will stay more days to enjoy the hospitality and test the pool.

Booked a large room with 3 beds. was shown a room 9 ft by 9ft and dinky bath. Showed the owner the Expedia confirmation on the room and was told it was wrong. Was up graded to a nice room for an extra `15 Euro but the heat didn't work so I asked Andrea if he would turn on the heat. It worked for 15 minutes then shut off. We slept in our clothes with parkas on. Put extra pillows under the bed mattress to fix the dip. The food was the best we've had in Italy.

Als je van rust en afgelegen houdt

Wij zijn er niet gebleven, de locatie was voor ons een probleem, 3 km over een onverharde stof weg en ik vond de foto’s iets voordeliger dan de werkelijkheid was. Was allemaal stuk donkerder en ouder dan op de foto’s. Alleen zwembad wat ik zag zag er goed uit.

Amazing location, amazing experience!

In one word: perfect! Everything about this family run place is amazing. The establishment is quite magical with so much history. Every detail is thought through. Rooms are so tastefully decorated and super clean. Staying in a stone hourse that dates back to 12th century, we were still provided with all the modern amenities we would wish for. We were also lucky enough to arrive on time for an amazing dinner overlooking the vinyard nearby. The pool sits in the middle of many flowers, right by a vinyard, and you get to enjoy local wine as you cool down by the the pool. The place is secluded but not inaccessible at all. The drive to the hotel itself was a part of the experience. The family running the place (Berta, Andrea, and their son) has the best attitude and I wish them the best. I was there with my mother and aunt this time but will definetely go back with other family members and friends!

Traumhaft und erholsam

Das Landhotel ist wunderschön gelegen man hat eine traumhafte Aussicht von der Terrasse und Frühstücksraum. Die Poolanlage lädt zum erholen ein meistens waren wir dort ganz alleine.Die Obstbäume laden zum naschen ein. Die Besitzer Berta Und Andrea sind sehr liebevoll und jeder Zeit bemüht jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Die Kochkünste von Berta ein Traum so das man sich in Il Casolare rundum wohlfühlt.

A Charming Tuscan Country Retreat

We spent 2 nights in Il Casolare Di Libbiano in May. The weather was great and the setting idyllic. You do need a car for this hotel as it is about 10km out of San Gimignano. But once you have the location determined, it is a very pleasant drive in the Tuscan countryside and is away from the rush of tourists in San Gimignano. Our room was great looking out over the grounds and pool. It was very quiet, comfortable and really peaceful. Breakfast on the terrace was an excellent start to the day and Andrea was a charming and gracious host. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a genuine Tuscan experience away from the crowds in the main towns, but still within easy drive of many of the wonderful Tuscan hill towns. We would love to return and stay a few days longer.

Perfection!

Il Casolare di Libbiano was simply fantastic! From the moment we arrived- we were treated as guests and felt like family! Berta and Andrea are the kindest, warmest hosts. We enjoyed an afternoon logging OFF and getting some MUCH NEEDED relaxation by the pool! We opted for dinner that night (it’s extra so you need to let them know before you arrive- but I highly recommend doing so!) It was delicious and you can tell their heart and soul is in every meal. Nothing feels stuffy in the home, yet everything feels special! We slept well and enjoyed breakfast in the am (which is included.) Then we began our cooking lesson. (Just like the dinner, ya need to contact them ahead of time.) How AMAZING is it to cook an traditional Tuscan mean while you’re in the heart of Tuscany itself!?!? Well I’ll tell you: it was one of the highlights of our 10 day Italian trip! After we ate (the lunch that WE cooked) we drove around a bit and then came back to get another restful pm @ the b&b. After having fresh homade crossiants and other assorted foods in the am, we were graciously sent on our way. If we EVER make it back to this part of the world, not only are we coming back to Il Casolare di Libbiano, but we will stay longer than 2 pms!

Great staff, breakfast and wonderful setting. Wifi did not reach our room though which was inconvenient, and it would be good if there had been water or tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Quiet hotel in Tuscany wine country

Andrea and Berta were amazing hosts. We had delicious dinners prepared by them and also took a 1/2 day coking class with Berta. All ingredients for the meals were fresh. Their house wine was very good. The rooms were comfortable. There is a pool to enjoy on hot days. The whole setting was idyllic. We would definitely refer friends and family to stay here.

Digno de Itália.

Voce ate se assusta no caminho, pela estrada ate o hotel, mas quando chega, tudo vale a pena. Sr. Andreas e sua família são acolhedores e amáveis. O cafe da manha é explendido, sem dizer o jantar, digno de Itália. Vinho maravilho, vista encantadora, piscina deliciosa, e ate a olivia deu o ar da graça que para nos deixar ainda mais confortaveis. Sentindo-se em casa. Casa italiana. Perfeito!! Perfeito!! Apenas faltou ar condicionado nos quartos, tem ventilador e a casa é muito fresca, deliciosa, porem, em dias muito quentes faz um pouco de falta.
