Great location

Has a great location but no the best facilities, parking is limited. The breakfast is delicious.

Good Location

The staff of the Hotel was very nice, good breakfast aswell. The restaurant is frequented by lots of locals and at weekends there are often live-concerts. That also means that rooms are noisy in the evening- also beause train line is next door and the train incredibly loud. Still I loved the place - hip surrounding with a lot of bars, coffee shops and good restaurants.

La dueña del hotel descortes

Cuando hice el check in me atendió la dueña del hotel, y en lugar de dar un trato agradable, su servicio fue totalmente de cortes sin dejar al lado que la señora estaba sumamente molesta por la tarifa que pague y adquirí por expedia, gritando que los empleados la iban a dejar en la quiebra al poner las tarifas... para mi fue una falta de respeto

Rooms are ok but too cold and too noisy. Breakfast is always same. But we weren't served fruits and cheese one day during our stay.

Buena relación calidad-precio

El hotel es lo justo para unas cuantas noches, está ubicado en un barrio muy concurrido y cerca a las líneas del tren, por lo cual era frecuente escucharlo. El desayuno es muy completo.

Hotel agradable en zona de restaurantes

Estuvimos 4 noches. Luz de luna es un hotel agradable, bonito y muy limpio con personal amable en una zona de gran oferta gastronómica.

Nothing Boutique about this Place!

Boutique hotel connotes small scale luxury, attention to detail and personal service in a unique setting. Luz de Luna fell short on all fronts. The room we reserved was supposedly a superior accommodation. What we got was a window that wouldn't close, broken toilet seat and peeling paint in the bathroom ceiling. Decorative pillows and towels had stains and the fitted sheet kept coming off, exposing the mattress. The evening clerk appeared irritated when we told him that the online pictures showed a very different kind of room. The next day we expressed our dissatisfaction to the front desk clerk. She seemed genuinely concerned and moved us to another room which was much better. On the bright side, the breakfast at the cute restaurant downstairs was very good and the coffee excellent as was the girl who served us.

No mas que una noche

Si les gusta la canción de Richard Anthony - Et j'entends siffler le train , este es el lugar para usted. La recamara muy pobre como muebles y otros accesorios pero por una noche y por lo que cuesta la estadía es suficiente. Si va con carro tiene que parquearlo en la calle u sobre el corredor de la entrada pero después de la 10 de la noche. El desayuno es de 0730 hasta las 0930, osea, si usted tiene vuelo tempranito.....olvidase del desayuno.

Loved this hotel! Great location, clean room, friendly service! We walked out of the front door and were able to walk for hours through and neighborhoods and downtown.

Excellent staff and great location!

My husband and I booked a room for a week and the staff is excellent! Very helpful, friendly and they really tried their best to make our stay there as comfortable and enjoyable as possible (which it was). Our first night there we heard noises from a guest room upstairs which made it somewhat difficult to sleep. The hotel staff responded exceptionally well and moved us to an upgraded room at no extra cost to a room that was more soundproof.The hotel is also in a great location in the center of the city, which makes it's a short walk to public bus stations for traveling around the country, national museum etc. We really enjoyed our stay there!

Hôtel propre et charmant,chambres agréables et claires, beau jardin soigné avec espace couvert pour le petit déjeuner. Quartier un peu excentré avec beaucoup de restaurants branchés fréquentés par des jeunes et moins jeunes costa-ricain.es. Le train est un peu bruyant la journée

Best boutique experience in San José Downtown

The whole building says boutique. It has simple fashion combined with natural themes. When you enter there is a coffee stall at the left in case you want to have some coffee time in the afternoon. Then there is the reception were we got attended by a happy young lady that treated us very well and gave us our room key which has an old fashion style. All the rooms have an animal's name in Bribri which is an indigenous dialect in Costa Rica. Then we went upstairs to see the room. When you enter the room you get a really comfy vibe. There is a drawer for your clothes and a desk if you need to write or use the computer. The bathroom is awesome, has plenty space and it's clean. After getting ready we went out for a food experience at a restaurant near by. The boulevard where the hotel is located is called "Calle de la Luz" (Light Street) and is full of lots of kinds of restaurants to enjoy. The staff works 24/7 so if you need to do a late check in or an early check out there is no problem with that

Es un hotel sencillo. Con instalaciones que necesitan algo de mantenimiento. Por lo demás, muy buen ubicado y con un excelente servicio. Siempre muy atentos!

El tren, un ruidoso inconveniente

La atención fué amable, lalimpieza muy bien, decoración muy bien, sólo el inconveniente del tren que pasa cerca del hotel y a una hora muy temprana.
