"I was disappointed with my experience at St. Ann’s Guest House. While my overall stay was average, I encountered an issue involving transportation arranged through the front desk.
Upon check-in, I requested assistance with arranging a TT rideshare for my airport transfer. I confirmed this request twice with the staff. On the morning of checkout, no one was at the front desk, and a man entered, identified himself as my driver, and I was directed by the staff. I don't remember the front desk clerk's name, but she's light-skinned of Dougla descent and approximately 5'5 " in height to proceed with him. During the ride, I was told the fare would be $400 TTD, which was significantly higher than the typical rate I had been advised (approximately $150 TTD). I felt uncomfortable questioning the driver mid-journey due to safety concerns, especially being unfamiliar with the area.
Additionally, the exchange rate used was different from what I expected, which increased the cost. The driver informed me that the exchange rate per USD is $5.75 he’s using KFC rate which is confusing becuase even the the guest house exchange rate was $7.50 per UDS. KFC isnt a bank so why inform me that your using KFC exchange rate.This made me feel uncomfortable and raised concerns for me about how transportation is arranged for guests.
I strongly recommend that future guests exercise caution when accepting transportation arranged through the property. This situation was unacceptable, and I expected better "
