Art is definately a theme here with many nice reproductions along the entire hallways. Many rooms do have small balconies and a view towards the rock. Note: this place is a 'long' 6 blocks or so from the coast, some rooms can see 'the rock' others cannot. There are at least a dozen hotels closer to the Embarcadero area along the bay. We came down to the continental breakfast about 1/2 hour before close and got the last piece of 'croissandwich' ... Nice building, etc. Good palce to stay.
