Our stay was fabulous. We loved the easy access to Morro Rock as well as the shops. During the night, no loud noises, just peace and quiet. Thanks Sundown Inn.
We’ve stayed here a couple of times and will keep coming back. The couple who owns the hotel are so kind and welcoming. They obviously take pride in it and want their guests to have a great time. You can walk to good coffee, pizza, beer, and more. It’s an experience that’s so much better than staying in a chain motel.

Ann was a delightful lady always ready to help and we were very happy with the amenities and parking. Overall we look forward to another stay there.
A little old-fashioned, but it gives the place charm. Besides the looks, the place is in a great location. It is close to the waterfront, close to several local restaurants and coffee shops. It is also down the street from the state park.

The room was in a great location and the hosts were very friendly. This place is a really good value as well.
I love the uniqueness of the succulents all over the property and the individually decorated rooms. I somehow booked my visit date for the wrong one and when I arrived, found out the owner had stayed up until 1:00 AM waiting for me. Luckily, one room was still available when I arrived the next afternoon. The owners always go above and beyond to make the stay a peaceful time. There are even microwave safe porcelain tea cups (and tea, not just coffee) in the rooms.
We stayed one night to attend the citywide yard sale, everything was clean. The staff was friendly very cute little spot perfect to walk to a restaurant and the rest of the city. Great views of the smokestacks as well as the rock from the outside of the hotel. Highly recommend we will stay there again.
