Preferred Club was Amazing. Our Butler Anthony and the Restaurant Manager Victor deserve highest compliments for making our experience amazing. All of the staff was exceptional! The property is absolutely beautiful as well!

The hotel itself is beautiful, but keep in mind that it is not a beachfront resort. You can walk down a path to Baby Beach; however, it tends to be very touristy and is rocky and not a walking beach. Baby Beach is a great place to snorkel. The service was not very good. I think part of that may be because the resort is new and they haven't worked out all of the kinks yet, but overall the customer service was lacking. We had to wait over two hours for our room to be ready, even though we arrived after the 3pm check-in time. The front desk staff repeatedly told us it would be "just 20 more minutes," but each time we checked back, the room was not available. We were told 3 separate times that, due to the inconvenience, something extra special would be waiting in our room. Unfortunately, we never received anything. Our friends who stayed in the Preferred Club had a butler who also acknowledged the issues and offered us a Bali bed for the duration of our stay as compensation. We accepted the offer, only to then be told they were sold out for the week. Due to allergies, we requested foam pillows several times but were never able to get one. As a result, I had to sleep on one of the decorative pillows from the bed because I couldn't use the standard pillows provided. With the exception of the Himitsu and Coco Cafe, the service service was lacking

Service was poor, never saw the butler except for check-in. Could not get drink service. Staff (most) was always too busy talking to each other instead of working. Entertainment was just average. Food was average. Our stay was average. Nothing like our stay in Cap Cana. They set the bar. Will probably not stay at Secrets again.

Rooms are great very comfy beds! It is the perfect spot if you want a quiet relaxing vacation. If you want to go out downtown this isn’t the place for you. This was the best place to unwind and relax.

Check in was fast, however no welcome drink upon arrival. Power went out in room while my wife was in the shower. Had to go to the front desk to get maintence to fix the problem.

Clarifier. We booked preferred for six nights and are 72/73. The food at the four restaurants was subpar. The buffet restaurant was great except what should have been a warm offering like the fish was barely warm. Skinny filets. If you go for breakfast there they’ll make to order anything. A couple afternoon activities at the main pool were fun to watch but few participated. No one wanted water volley ball or basketball. Football was throwing the ball through a target. Lots of music and girls shimmying around in the pool. The beach is public and a three minute walk. Genierally crowded. Coffee in the rooms was boutique type. No cream or sweeteners. The walk from our room to get real coffee was a quarter mile round trip walk once you figure out the shortest route. Lukewarm by the time you got back to your room. First time to any all inclusive resort anywhere. We anticipated basically just eating and drinking and hanging out and that’s what we did. Didn’t go to any evening events because they don’t start untill after we were ready for bed. Became bored and with the restaurant food not being exciting we just left two days early.

Pros are the rooms are really nice, the resort is beautiful and the staff working there are excellent. Cons: in the middle of nowhere there is absolutely nothing but the resort on the remote tip of the island. They advertise 7 restaurants but only 4 are open for dinner and the menu never changes. The food is mediocre, not bad just not great. 10pm and everything shuts down apart from a sports bar where they do karaoke and a “disco”. The entertainment had a couple of decent nights, mainly the band who are pretty good but once again they are gone by 10pm, the steel drum player is good but he stops at 8pm. It’s so boring at this place. We had a ten day stay and were ready to leave after four. The swimming pool is freezing, hardly anyone goes in, the hot tub is cold it’s more like a whirlpool not a hot tub. The beach is small and littered with trash, they offer you a lounge chair but no umbrella or shade so it can be very hot. We love Aruba, we have been many times but this place felt more like Aruba Alcatraz isolated and boring. Eagle beach resorts such as the Divi chain are far more in tune with offering a great vacation as are the resorts in Palm beach. Secrets push a hard sell on their vacation club. Maybe if you want total peace and quiet and are an early to bed kind of person this is for you. Unfortunately it was not for us and MANY other guests we spoke to were highly disappointed.

It was great! The property was beautiful, the staff was friendly and attentive, and everything was clean and well maintained. We had a relaxing stay and would definitely return.
